Do I need to have any previous drawing or painting experience?

Absolutely! Our workshops in Garissa are tailored for complete beginners. Our professional artists break down the process into simple, manageable steps, from holding the spray can correctly to mastering basic line work. You don't need to be 'artistic' to have a great time—most of our guests are surprised by the high-quality piece they manage to create by the end of the session. We're here to guide you every step of the way!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for participants?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We use professional-grade spray paints and conduct our sessions in well-ventilated outdoor or large indoor spaces. Our artists give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring everyone knows how to handle the equipment responsibly while having a blast.

How long does a typical cultural graffiti event last?

The duration typically ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe allows us to cover the history of the culture, practice basic techniques on plastic film, and then move on to creating a collaborative masterpiece or individual canvases. We find this is the perfect 'sweet spot' to keep the energy high and the creativity flowing without anyone getting tired. Plus, it leaves plenty of time for photos!

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything you need to become a street artist for the day. This includes a wide array of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective clothing, and the surfaces we'll be painting on. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on. We handle the setup and the cleanup!

Can you accommodate large groups for corporate or community events?

We are very flexible! Whether you are a small group of friends or a large organisation planning a massive cultural festival in Garissa, we can accommodate you. For very large groups, we bring in additional professional artists and backup staff to ensure everyone gets personal attention and guidance. Just let us know your expected numbers, and we'll tailor the logistics to fit perfectly.

How does the payment process work? Do I need to pay upfront?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no stress' booking policy. You don't have to pay anything upfront when you book your workshop. We believe in the quality of our experience, so you only pay after the workshop is completed. This builds trust and ensures you are 100% satisfied with the creative explosion we bring to your event.

Is this a street art tour or a hands-on workshop?

While we aren't a traditional tour company, our workshops are deeply rooted in street art culture. We often start sessions with a brief talk about the evolution of graffiti from New York subways to global galleries and its local impact in Kenya. It's an immersive cultural experience where you learn the 'why' behind the art before you start creating the 'what' yourself.
