Do I need previous art experience to participate?

Not at all! Our Garissa pop-up events are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional artists will guide you through the basics, from how to hold a spray can to mastering complex gradients. We provide a supportive, high-energy environment where the goal is to enjoy the process and express your unique style. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at what you've created.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and we always ensure our pop-up locations in Garissa have excellent ventilation. Our instructors provide a full safety briefing before anyone picks up a can, ensuring a fun and worry-free experience for everyone involved.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard pop-up workshop experience usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the completion of your final masterpiece. We find this is the perfect 'sweet spot' to keep the energy high and the creativity flowing without anyone getting tired.

What should I wear to the graffiti event?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on—just in case! While we provide full protective gear including suits and gloves, street art can sometimes be a messy business. Think casual and practical so you can move around freely while you're working on your mural or canvas.

What makes Graffitifun different from other event providers?

At Graffitifun, we believe in 'fun first.' Unlike many other providers, we don't require upfront payments—you can pay after your workshop is complete! Our team consists of genuine street artists who are passionate about sharing their culture. Plus, with our backup artist guarantee, your Garissa event will never be cancelled due to staff illness. We offer a totally stress-free booking process.

Where in Garissa do these pop-up events take place?

Our pop-up events are incredibly versatile! We can set up at local community centres, festivals, or even private outdoor spaces. If you don't have a venue in mind, just ask—we know some great spots around Garissa that are perfect for getting creative. We use mobile graffiti walls and protective flooring to ensure we leave the venue exactly as we found it.

Can I book a private pop-up event for a large group?

Absolutely! Our pop-up experiences are a massive hit for corporate team building, birthday parties, and school groups. The collaborative nature of graffiti makes it a perfect bonding activity. We can even tailor the theme of the workshop to match your brand or party theme. Just let us know your group size and we’ll create a bespoke experience for your Garissa squad.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Garissa is a city with a unique pulse, where the warmth of the community meets the vibrant energy of the Tana River. While traditional arts have always had a place here, the arrival of a modern graffiti pop-up event in Garissa brings a fresh, urban twist to the local creative scene. We love the way the bright, bold colours of street art contrast with the golden landscapes of north-eastern Kenya. It’s about bringing that global street culture energy to our local streets and giving the youth and the young-at-heart a new way to express their stories.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the Tana River, which flows right by Garissa, is the longest river in Kenya? Just like the river carves its path through the landscape, our workshops encourage you to carve your own creative path on the canvas! 🌊💥

Whether we're setting up near the bustling markets or in a quiet community space, the goal is to celebrate the local Garissa spirit through the lens of international street art culture. Let's turn those blank walls into a kaleidoscope of local pride!
