Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! Most of our pop-up event attendees in Eldoret have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on teaching the basic techniques first—like nozzle control and wrist movement—before moving on to the bigger creative pieces. We guarantee that by the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've helped create.

Is the workshop safe and what should I wear?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 masks to filter out fumes, as well as disposable gloves and protective overalls to keep your clothes clean. All our paint is professional-grade but used in a controlled environment. Our instructors are trained to ensure everyone uses the equipment correctly, making the workshop a safe, fun, and worry-free experience for creators of all ages.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard pop-up graffiti workshop in Eldoret typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large-scale collaborative mural. If you have a specific schedule for your event, we can easily customise the duration to fit your itinerary perfectly.

What kind of venue do I need to provide?

We bring the party to you! Our pop-up setup is designed for flexibility. All we need is a ventilated space—either outdoors or in a well-ventilated indoor area—and enough room for our mobile graffiti walls. Whether it's a car park, a community hall, or a garden in the Rift Valley, we can make it work. We handle the setup and cleanup, so you don't have to worry about a thing.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything you need to become a street artist for the day. This includes a wide variety of premium spray paint colours, various nozzles (caps) for different spray widths, protective gear, and the surfaces themselves (canvases or mobile wooden walls). We even bring inspiration sheets and sketches. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and perhaps a bottle of water to stay hydrated!

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

While we love the sunshine of Eldoret, we always have a Plan B. If the weather doesn't play ball, we can move the workshop to a covered area or use our pop-up marquees if arranged. Our team is used to being flexible. Plus, because we have a network of backup artists available, you never have to worry about a last-minute cancellation from our side—your event will go ahead rain or shine!

How do I book and do I need to pay in advance?

Booking is simple and risk-free with Graffitifun. You can request a quote via our website or use our Cost Calculator for an instant estimate. Once we've tailored the plan to your group size and location in Eldoret, we'll get you on the schedule. The best part? There’s no upfront payment required! You only pay after the workshop is complete and you're 100% happy with the result.

Local culture

Eldoret, known as the "City of Champions", has an incredible energy that stems from its world-famous runners and its booming, youthful population. While the city is often celebrated for its athletic prowess, the creative scene is rapidly catching up. Street art is a powerful way to tap into the local pamoja spirit, bringing people from all walks of life together to create something beautiful. From the bustling streets near Zion Mall to the quieter suburbs, Eldoret provides a fantastic backdrop for urban expression.

Fun fact: Did you know that the name 'Eldoret' is derived from the Maasai word 'Eldore', meaning 'stony river'? Just as the river flows and carves its path, we help you carve your own creative path through the medium of vibrant spray paint! 🎨
