Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student. Our professional artists also give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone even touches a spray can. We use low-odour paints where possible and ensure the workshop takes place in a well-ventilated outdoor area to keep everyone breathing easy while they create.

Will our school walls get covered in permanent paint?

While we love the raw energy of street art, we definitely don't want it on your school walls! We usually bring our own large wooden panels or mobile cellophane walls (wrap-art) for the students to paint on. This means the school stays clean, and the students get a professional 'canvas' to work on. Once the session is over, we pack everything up, leaving your grounds exactly as we found them.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Usually, a standard secondary school workshop lasts between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for an introduction, a sketch session, practice runs, and the creation of a final large-scale masterpiece. If you have a specific timetable or double-period structure you need us to fit into, just let us know! We are very flexible and can adapt the timing to suit your school's schedule.

What if some students aren't naturally 'artistic'?

No talent? No problem! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from the next Picasso to students who have never held a paintbrush. Our artists guide the group through simple techniques that yield impressive results quickly. We focus on 'controlled accidents' and finding your own style. It’s more about expression, confidence, and having a blast with your classmates than being a perfect artist from day one.

What materials do we need to provide for the day?

We provide everything! Your school doesn't need to supply a single thing except the space and the students. We bring the spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps (nozzles), masks, gloves, protective suits, and the surfaces for painting. We even bring sketching materials so students can plan their designs before they start spraying. It is a completely hassle-free, 'plug-and-play' experience for the teachers. house!

What are the educational benefits of a graffiti workshop?

Graffiti is a fantastic tool for secondary students to build self-esteem and collaboration skills. It teaches them about scale, colour theory, and public messaging in a way that feels 'cool' and relevant to their lives. It encourages students who might struggle with traditional academic subjects to shine in a high-energy, physical creative environment. Plus, it’s a brilliant way to beautify the school spirit and create a shared memory.

How many students can participate in one session?

We can handle groups of almost any size! For a single session, we typically recommend groups of 15 to 30 students per artist to ensure everyone gets enough hands-on time and guidance. However, for larger year groups, we can send multiple artists or run several rotating sessions throughout the day. Tell us your student numbers, and we will calculate the best setup for your Eldoret school.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your Eldoret secondary school? It’s more than just paint—it’s about building a better school community through high-impact art. 🏆

Confidence Boost: Watch as "I can't draw" turns into "Look what I made!" in just 90 minutes.
Teamwork in Action: Nothing bonds a class like working together on a massive, 10-meter long mural. 🤝
100% Student Engagement: Even the students who usually check out in class are often the most focused when they have a spray can in hand.
Professional Guidance: Our artists aren't just talented; they are great mentors who know how to connect with teenagers. 🎤
Stress Relief: The physical nature of street art is a fantastic way for students to blow off steam during exam season. 🔥
No Stress for Teachers: We handle the setup, the mess, and the cleanup. You just enjoy the results!

Step by step

Intro & Inspiration: We kick things off with a high-energy look at the history of street art and how it evolved from the streets to the world's biggest galleries.
Safe Spraying: Students get kitted out in their protective gear while we explain how to use the equipment safely and responsibly. ✨
Mastering the Can: We head to the 'wall' where our pros demonstrate basic lines, dots, and fills. It's time for the students to get their first feel for the pressure of the spray. 🎨
Sketching the Vision: Before the real painting starts, students grab pencils and paper to map out their tags or group murals, focusing on flow and composition.
The Outline: Using a light touch, the students transfer their sketches onto the large panels, creating the skeleton of their masterpiece. 🦴
Filling & Fading: This is where the magic happens! Students learn to blend colours, create gradients, and fill in their shapes with vibrant hues.
The Final Flourish: We add 'shine' lines, shadows, and sharp outlines to make the artwork pop off the surface. 💥
Review & Photos: We wrap up by admiring the collective work, taking group photos, and discussing what each student learned about their creative process.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Eldoret is world-famous for its incredible athletes, but there is a growing creative pulse in Uasin Gishu County that is just as fast-paced! From the vibrant markets near the railway station to the modern campuses of Moi University, the city is a melting pot of tradition and youthful ambition. We love bringing our graffiti workshops here because Eldoret students have a unique energy—a "champion mindset" that translates perfectly into bold, large-scale street art.

Fun Fact: Did you know Eldoret's name comes from the Maasai word 'Eldore,' meaning 'stony river'? Just as the Sosiani River flows through the town, we help your students find their own creative flow during our sessions! 🌊

In a city that prides itself on endurance and excellence, street art offers a new way for the youth to express their local pride. Whether we’re painting murals that celebrate Kenyan heritage or abstract pieces that look to the future, the Eldoret spirit always shines through in every spray-painted line.
