Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No prior drawing or painting skills are needed for our Eldoret summer camps. Our professional street artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Whether you think you're the next Picasso or can barely draw a stick figure, we’ll show you how to handle a spray can and create something you're genuinely proud of. It’s all about the process and having a blast!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. Our instructors are trained professionals who supervise every step of the process, ensuring the spray cans are used correctly and responsibly. We also choose well-ventilated outdoor locations in Eldoret to ensure a healthy environment for all our young creators. You can trust us to keep the fun safe and sound.

What kind of paint do you use at the summer camp?

We use high-quality, professional-grade spray paint that is designed for vibrant results. However, we also prioritize health, which is why we provide protective gear for every participant. Our workshops often feature water-based or low-solvent options where appropriate, ensuring a great balance between authentic street art results and a comfortable working environment for the youth during their summer break. All materials are included in the workshop package!

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

Usually, our summer camp sessions in Eldoret last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us plenty of time to cover the history of graffiti, practice basic strokes, and complete a final masterpiece. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for keeping energy levels high and focus sharp without the kids getting overtired. If you have a specific schedule in mind, we can always chat about customising the duration!

Do I need to pay in advance to book a workshop?

We believe in a 'stress-free' booking experience. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your spot for the summer camp. We focus on delivering an incredible experience first, and you can settle the payment after the workshop is completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the creative energy and the results our artists bring to your group in Eldoret. High-fives all round!

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

Comfort is key! We suggest wearing old clothes and comfortable trainers that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. Even though we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can be a messy business when the creativity starts flowing! Since Eldoret can have a bit of a breeze or unexpected sun, dressing in light layers is usually the smartest way to stay comfortable throughout the session.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your youth group in Eldoret? Because ordinary summer camps are so last year! We offer an experience that builds confidence, teamwork, and artistic skill all at once. 💪

Unleash Creativity: No rules, just right! We encourage kids to express themselves in ways traditional art classes don't allow. 🌈
Expert Mentors: Learn from real graffiti artists who live and breathe this culture. They're not just teachers; they're inspirations! 🎤
Booster of Confidence: Seeing a massive piece of art you created from scratch gives an incredible sense of achievement. 🏆
Team Building: Many of our activities involve collaborative murals where communication and cooperation are key.
Skill Building: From fine motor skills to understanding colour theory, there's a lot of "stealth learning" involved!
No Stress Booking: With our "no upfront payment" policy and backup artist guarantee, your event is in safe hands.

Looking for other types of events? We also offer workshops for schools, kids parties, and even 3D street art projects! 🎉

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We kick things off with a meet-and-greet where our artists explain the gear and safety rules.
Graffiti History: A quick, high-energy dive into how street art evolved from the streets of New York to the walls of Eldoret.
The Tag Creator: Use our digital tool or paper to sketch out your first 'tag' and find your unique street art name.
Can Control: Learn the 'anatomy' of a spray can, from different nozzles (caps) to controlling pressure and distance.
Basic Techniques: Practice drawing straight lines, perfect circles, and those iconic graffiti drips on practice boards.
Lettering & 3D: Move on to 'throw-ups' and 'pieces', learning how to make your name pop with shadows and 3D effects.
The Grand Finale: Work on a large-scale collaborative mural or your own individual canvas to showcase your new skills.
Final Touches: Our pros help you add highlights and outlines to make your artwork truly stand out.
Photo Op & Cleanup: We snap some epic group photos with your art before we pack up the gear!

Local culture

Eldoret isn't just about the world-class marathons and the high-altitude training; it's a city with a rapidly growing urban soul. While the breeze blows through the Rift Valley, we’re busy adding a fresh layer of creativity to the local scene. We love the vibrant energy of places like the Eldoret City Centre and the artistic potential found near Rupa's Mall. Bringing our graffiti summer camp here feels like a natural fit for a city that celebrates hard work and spectacular results. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that the name Eldoret is derived from the Maasai word 'Eldore', which means 'stony river'? While the river might be stony, our workshop canvases are smooth and ready for your wildest designs! 🌊

In addition to our Eldoret events, we also bring the spray paint magic to other Kenyan hubs like Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru.
