Do I need to be an artist to join the workshop?

Absolutely! Our Eldoret street art festival workshops are designed for absolute beginners. You don't need any prior painting experience or artistic background. Our professional instructors will guide you through every step, from holding the spray can correctly to mastering basic lettering and filling techniques. It’s all about having a blast and expressing yourself in a relaxed, supportive environment. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at what you've created!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for participants?

Safety is our top priority at every event. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We use professional-grade spray paints and conduct our workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or large open spaces. Our experienced artists provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a fun, worry-free experience for everyone involved in the festivities.

What should I wear to the festival workshop?

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we do provide protective overalls and gear, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves or shoes if you're getting really into the groove! Avoid your Sunday best and opt for something practical. If the festival is outdoors under the Eldoret sun, don't forget your sunglasses and some sunscreen too!

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Our standard festival workshop sessions typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, practice some basic techniques on the practice wall, and then complete a final masterpiece. This duration is perfect for festivals as it allows participants to enjoy a deep-dive creative experience while still having plenty of time to explore other attractions at the event.

Do I need to pay for the workshop upfront?

We believe in total transparency and confidence. That’s why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy. You don't need to make any upfront payments to secure your spot. We want you to focus on the excitement of the upcoming street art festival in Eldoret. Once the session is over and you've seen the incredible results, that's when we handle the booking details. It’s our way of guaranteeing 100% satisfaction.

What is the maximum group size for a festival event?

We are very flexible! We can accommodate small groups of friends or massive festival crowds. For large-scale events in Eldoret, we deploy multiple artists and set up several 'tagging stations' to ensure everyone gets a chance to spray. Whether you have 10 people or 500, we scale our materials and staff to match your needs, ensuring a high-quality, interactive experience for every single guest.

What happens if the artist is unable to make it?

We've got you covered! We have a dedicated team of 'backup' artists ready to step in if an emergency arises with your lead instructor. This ensures your event goes ahead exactly as planned without any last-minute cancellations. Reliability is a core value at Graffitifun, and we take our commitment to the Eldoret community very seriously. You can book with total peace of mind!

Local culture

Eldoret is world-famous for its incredible athletes, but there is a rising tide of urban creativity flowing through Uasin Gishu County. From the bustling markets to the creative hubs popping up near the University, the local youth are embracing street art as a way to tell their stories. Our workshops celebrate this local spirit, blending international graffiti techniques with the resilient, hardworking energy that Eldoret is known for. We don't just paint on walls; we build community connections through shared creativity.

Fun Eldoret Fact: Known as "Sisibo", Eldoret is one of the fastest-growing cities in Kenya. While most people come for the marathons, the city's burgeoning art scene is starting its own race to the top! 🏃‍♂️🎨
