Is the spray paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our absolute priority. We use low-odour, high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary protective equipment, including masks and gloves. Our experienced instructors are experts at managing large groups of primary school children, ensuring everyone follows the safety rules while having a blast. We also choose outdoor or well-ventilated spaces to keep the air fresh.🎉

Can we choose a specific theme for our workshop?

Absolutely! While we love letting kids express their own creativity, we can easily incorporate school values, a specific educational theme (like nature or history), or even your school logo into the final mural. It's a fantastic way to create a lasting piece of art that reflects the unique spirit of your Eldoret school community.🏫

How long does a typical school workshop last?

A standard workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This gives the students enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their strokes, and contribute to the final masterpiece without losing their focus. We can adjust the timing to fit into your school timetable or break it up into sessions for different classes.⏳

Do we need to provide any materials?

We bring everything! Graffitifun provides the spray cans, caps, protective gear, masks, and the 'canvas' (whether that's a temporary wall, boards, or an actual school wall). You just need to provide the space and enthusiastic students. We even handle the setup and the cleanup, so there is zero stress for the teaching staff.🎨

Do the children need prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our professional artists are great at breaking down the steps so that even the youngest students can create something they are proud of. We focus on 'can-do' attitudes and fun, ensuring every child feels like a real street artist by the end of the day.✨

What is the maximum group size for a school event?

We are very flexible! We can work with a single class or organise a rotating schedule to accommodate the entire school over a day or two. Whether you have 20 students or 200, we have enough backup artists and equipment to ensure a high-quality, hands-on experience for every single child involved.💪Zone out, we've got it covered!

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

While we usually aim for outdoor sessions to enjoy the Eldoret sun, we always have a backup plan. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can use indoor spaces with extra ventilation or use water-based markers and alternative techniques that are safe for indoor use. We ensure the creative fun never gets rained out!Rain or shine, we create!🌧️

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your pupils? It’s more than just painting; it's a powerful educational tool that breaks down barriers and sparks inspiration. Here is why Eldoret schools love working with us:

Confidence booster: Watch as even the shyest students find their voice through bold colours and big strokes. 💪
Teamwork in action: Creating a giant mural requires collaboration, communication, and shared pride. 🤝
Hands-on learning: It’s a physical, tactile way to learn about colour theory, composition, and urban history. 📚
Zero stress for teachers: We handle everything from setup to cleanup—you just get to enjoy the "coolest teacher" status! 🏆
Instant results: Unlike some art projects that take weeks, your students will see a massive, vibrant transformation in just a few hours. ⚡
Safe and professional: We use high-quality, kid-friendly materials and have years of experience in primary education settings. 🛡️

Step by step

Initial consultation: We chat about your school’s goals, the number of students, and any specific themes you want to explore.
Design phase: Our artists can create a preliminary sketch based on your ideas, or we can let the kids' imagination run wild on the day.
Safety briefing: We start the session by teaching the kids how to use the equipment safely and respect the environment.
Technique demonstration: A pro artist shows off the basics—fades, outlines, and how to control the spray can like a master.
Practice session: Students get to test their skills on practice boards to build their confidence before hitting the main wall.
Collaborative painting: The real magic happens as everyone works together to fill in the large-scale mural or individual canvases.
The big reveal: We add the finishing touches and outlines to make the artwork pop, followed by a celebratory group photo!

Local culture

Eldoret, the 'City of Champions', is famous for its incredible athletes, but there is a growing creative pulse in the heart of Uasin Gishu that is just as fast-paced! Bringing a primary school graffiti workshop here is a fantastic way to connect Eldoret's legendary energy with modern urban expression. Whether your school is near the bustling town centre or closer to the quiet hills of Iten, we bring the street art culture directly to your gates.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the name 'Eldoret' comes from the Maasai word 'Eldore', meaning 'stony river'? Just like the river carves its path, we help your students carve their own creative path through art! 🌊🎨

By introducing street art to schools in Eldoret, we are helping the next generation find new ways to celebrate their local identity—from the rich agricultural heritage to the world-class sporting spirit of the Rift Valley.
