Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a straight line to seasoned art students. Your professional instructor will guide you through the basics of spray control, layering, and lettering. By the end of the Garissa session, you'll be amazed at the high-quality piece you've created. It’s all about the experience and finding your creative flow in a supportive, high-energy environment.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep your clothes clean and your lungs safe. Our instructors are experienced professionals who provide a full safety briefing before any cans are shaken. We use low-pressure spray paint which is much easier to control, ensuring a fun and secure environment for all university students involved.

Where does the workshop take place?

We are totally flexible! We can host the workshop right on your Garissa campus if there is a suitable outdoor space, or we can arrange a local creative venue. If you’re worried about the weather or lack of walls, we can set up professional mobile plastic 'walls' or use individual canvases. We bring the street art vibe wherever you need it to be.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard university graffiti workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a large-scale collective masterpiece or individual pieces. If you have a specific schedule or a 'drop-in' style event planned for a student union fair, we can adapt the timing to fit your needs perfectly.

What materials do we need to provide?

We’ve got you covered! We provide everything: premium spray cans in a huge range of colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear, and the surfaces to paint on. You don't need to bring a thing except your enthusiasm and some comfortable shoes you don't mind getting a bit of dust on. We handle the setup and the cleanup!

Can we create a large mural together?

Yes, we love making big statements! For university groups, we often recommend a large collective mural where everyone contributes to a single, massive design. This is fantastic for student halls, society launches, or campus beautification projects. It fosters incredible teamwork and results in a stunning piece of art that represents the collective spirit of your Garissa student group.

How do I book and what are the payment terms?

Booking is easy and stress-free. For Garissa university events, simply request a quote through our website. We don’t require upfront payments—you only pay after the workshop is successfully completed. We also have backup artists on standby, so you never have to worry about a last-minute cancellation ruining your big society event or campus festival.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next university event in Garissa? It’s more than just painting; it’s an explosion of creativity that breaks down social barriers and builds genuine connection. 🔥

Ultimate stress relief: Nothing beats the satisfying 'hiss' of a spray can to forget about upcoming exams and deadlines.
Zero experience required: Our pro artists make sure everyone, from engineering students to fine art majors, creates something they're proud of.
Perfect for socials: It’s the ultimate icebreaker for new society members or a brilliant way to celebrate the end of term.
Social media gold: Create high-impact, colourful visuals that will make your university's social media pages pop. 📸
Reliable & professional: With our backup artist guarantee and no upfront payment policy, your event is in safe hands.
Beautify your space: Leave behind a stunning piece of art that brightens up the campus or a local Garissa spot. 🏆

Step by step

Initial briefing: Your pro artist kicks things off with a high-energy intro, covering the history of graffiti culture and essential safety tips.
Mastering the can: We start with 'can control'—learning how to shake, hold, and spray to get thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
Sketching the vision: Before hitting the wall, you'll brainstorm and sketch your ideas on paper, focusing on 'wildstyle' letters or characters.
Tagging practice: Every artist needs a signature. Practice your 'tag' to develop your unique hand-style and flow.
Outline and fill: Move to the main surface! You'll learn how to block out large shapes and fill them with vibrant, popping colours.
The 'cut-back': This is the secret to clean graffiti. You'll learn how to use a second colour to sharpen your edges and make the design crisp.
Adding the 'pop': Master the highlights, 3D shadows, and 'force-fields' (outer glows) that make graffiti jump off the surface.
Collaborative mural: Work together with your fellow students to blend individual styles into one cohesive Garissa masterpiece.
Photo op & cleanup: Grab some epic photos with your work before we take care of all the waste and recycling.

Good to know

We've fine-tuned our workshops to be as hassle-free as possible for university organisers:

What's included: All premium spray paint, protective overalls, gloves, masks, caps, and the painting surface (canvases or mobile walls).

Weather prep: We have indoor-friendly options and heavy-duty pop-up gazebos for outdoor sessions.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Garissa is a city with a unique rhythm, where the warmth of the Tana River meets a growing, vibrant youth culture. Bringing a graffiti workshop here isn't just about art; it's about tapping into that distinctive energy that defines north-eastern Kenya. As the city grows and its academic institutions flourish, street art provides a modern way for students to express their identity and local pride. We love the contrast of bright, neon spray paint against the Garissa landscape!

Fun Fact: Did you know that Garissa is known as one of the safest and most hospitable cities in the region? This sense of community makes it the perfect place for collaborative art projects where students from different backgrounds can come together to create something beautiful. ✨

Pricing

Every university event is unique, whether you're looking for a one-off workshop or a multi-day festival activation. Because of this, we don't believe in one-size-fits-all pricing. Prices depend on your group size, location in Garissa, and the specific setup you need.

The best part? You don't pay a penny upfront. Secure your date now and only pay after the workshop is complete. We're all about trust and guaranteed fun!
