Do the students need any prior drawing skills?

Not at all! Our Galați workshops are specifically designed for beginners. Our professional street artists guide the students through every single step, from holding the spray can correctly to filling in their first masterpiece. We focus on the 'fun' in 'fundamental skills,' ensuring every child feels like a pro by the end of the session. It's all about building confidence through creativity!

Is the spray paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective suits, gloves, and specialized masks for all participants. We use low-pressure spray cans that are easier for smaller hands to control and contain paint that meets safety standards. Our instructors also give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a secure environment for everyone involved.

Where in Galați do the workshops take place?

We are totally flexible! We can host the workshop right on your school grounds in Galați—either on a playground wall (with permission) or using our mobile plastic film 'walls' stretched between poles. If you'd prefer an off-site adventure, we can often arrange sessions at local creative spots. We bring all the gear to you, making it a hassle-free experience for the teachers.

How long does a typical workshop last?

A standard primary school session usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy and focus without the kids getting overtired. We pack a lot of action into that time—from history and sketching to the final spray-painting frenzy. If you have a specific school schedule to stick to, we can easily adapt the timing.

What is the ideal group size for a school session? insurance?

We suggest a minimum of 10-15 students to get a good atmosphere going, but we can handle much larger groups too! For big year groups in Galați schools, we often bring in extra backup artists to ensure every child gets enough individual attention. We maintain a high artist-to-student ratio so that the quality of the experience remains top-notch for everyone.

What should the students wear on the day?

Wear something comfortable that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on! While we provide full-body protective suits and gloves, graffiti can occasionally be a bit messy. Old trainers are better than brand-new school shoes. We provide everything else: the paint, the caps, the masks, the boards, and the expertise. Just bring your energy and some creative ideas!

Can the children keep what they create?

Absolutely! We don't just 'paint and leave.' Students can choose to work on individual canvases that they can take home or contribute to a large-scale collective mural that stays at the school. These murals are a fantastic way to brighten up a dull playground wall or corridor in Galați, leaving a colorful legacy of the students' hard work and teamwork.

Step by step

The intro: We kick off at your Galați school with a fun talk about graffiti history and the importance of 'street art' vs 'vandalism.'
Sketching session: Students grab pencils and paper to design their own 'tag' or character, planning their colors and shapes.
Safety first: Everyone gets geared up in protective suits, masks, and gloves while learning the golden rules of using spray cans.
Technique demo: Our pros show off 'can control'—demonstrating how to make thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
The first spray: Under close supervision, kids start practicing on their designated wall space or canvas to get a feel for the pressure.
Layering & Filling: This is the messy part! Students fill in their designs with vibrant colors, learning how to layer paint without it running.
Outlining & Highlights: The pros help the kids 'pop' their artwork using sharp black outlines and white highlights for a 3D effect.
The Big Reveal: We step back to admire the finished mural or individual pieces, taking photos of the class's incredible achievements.
Clean up: We pack up all the gear and leave your school site as tidy as we found it, but much more colorful!

Local culture

Galați is a city with a unique spirit, shaped by the mighty Danube and a rich industrial history. We love bringing street art here because the city's architecture provides the perfect backdrop for modern creativity. From the bustling vibes near the Danube Promenade to the quiet school courtyards in Mazepa, we find inspiration everywhere. Our workshops help the younger generation see their city through a more colourful lens, encouraging them to contribute to the local culture in a positive, artistic way.

Fun Fact: Did you know Galați is home to one of the largest iron and steel plants in Europe? While the city is known for its heavy industry, we're here to add a splash of "soft" artistic flair to balance things out!
