Is the paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority! We use high-quality spray paints and provide all children with protective gloves, masks, and aprons. Our professional artists are experts at managing large groups of primary school kids, ensuring a controlled, respectful, and totally safe environment where the only thing that gets messy is the canvas! We also use low-odour paints whenever possible to keep things comfortable for little lungs.

Do the students need any prior drawing or art skills?

Not at all! Our Craiova workshops are designed specifically for beginners. We start with the absolute basics, teaching the kids how to hold the can and control the pressure. Our artists guide them every step of the way, so even the most 'un-artistic' student will walk away with a piece of work they are incredibly proud of. It's all about building confidence through creativity.

What should the kids wear on the day of the workshop?

While we provide protective gear like aprons and gloves, we always recommend that students wear 'play clothes' or old t-shirts that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. Graffiti is a hands-on art form, and sometimes a stray drip of paint finds its way onto a sleeve or a pair of trainers. Better to be safe and dress for a mess!

Where in Craiova do these workshops take place?

We are incredibly flexible! We can host the workshop right on your school grounds in Craiova—be it on the playground, a sports court, or an indoor hall with proper ventilation. Alternatively, if you'd like to take the kids on a trip, we can arrange for an inspiring outdoor location. We bring all the equipment to you, making the logistics super simple for teachers.

How long does a standard workshop session last?

A typical primary school session lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy and focus levels for younger children. During this time, they’ll learn the history of street art, practice their techniques, and complete their final masterpiece. We can also adjust the timing to fit into your specific school timetable or double-period slots.

Can we choose a specific theme for the artwork?

Absolutely! We love it when schools have a specific theme, such as 'The Environment', 'Friendship', or 'Our City'. We can tailor the introductory talk and the final mural to reflect your current curriculum topics. It's a fantastic way to reinforce classroom learning through a physical, memorable activity that the children will talk about for the rest of the school year.

How much does a workshop cost per student?

Our pricing in Craiova typically ranges from 100 lei to 220 lei per student. The final cost depends on the size of the group, the duration of the workshop, and the materials required (like individual canvases versus a large communal mural). We don't require any payment upfront, and we always aim to provide the best value for schools. Request a custom quote for a precise price!

The experience

Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your students? It’s more than just painting walls—it’s about building confidence and teamwork in a totally unique way. Check out the benefits:

Boosts Confidence: Seeing a giant, colourful mural they helped create gives kids a massive sense of achievement! 💪
Teamwork in Action: Our large-scale murals require students to collaborate, communicate, and work together towards one goal.
Safe Expression: We provide a controlled, professional environment where 'naughty' street art becomes a respected creative outlet. 🎤
Hand-Eye Coordination: Controlling a spray can is a fantastic way to develop fine motor skills in a fun, tactile way.
Educational & Inspiring: Students learn about the history of the movement and how art can transform public spaces for the better. 🏆

Step by step

The Introduction: Our pro graffiti artists kick things off with a high-energy intro about the history and culture of street art.
Design Session: Students grab paper and pencils to sketch out their ideas, learning about 'tags', 'throw-ups', and letter structure.
Safety Briefing: We suit up! Every child gets an apron, gloves, and a mask while we explain the golden rules of using spray cans safely.
Control Practice: Before hitting the big canvas, kids practice 'can control' on test boards to get a feel for the pressure and nozzle.
The Outline: With guidance from our artists, the students start laying down the foundational lines of their masterpiece.
Filling In: This is where the magic happens! The kids use a riot of colours to fill in their designs and bring the art to life.
Detailing & Outlining: Our artists help the students add those sharp 'power lines' and highlights that make the graffiti pop.
The Grand Reveal: We step back to admire the collective work or individual canvases—perfect for a class photo!
Cleanup & Wrap-up: We handle the tidy-up, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them (except for the amazing new art!).
