Do I need prior graffiti experience to attend?

Absolutely no prior graffiti experience is needed to join our Craiova workshop! We designed this professional development course specifically for art teachers who want to start from scratch. Our professional artists will guide you through basic can control, safety protocols, and lettering styles. By the end of the session, you'll have the confidence to demonstrate these techniques to your own students back in the classroom.

What materials are included in the training?

We provide everything you need to get creative! This includes high-quality spray cans in various colours, a range of nozzle types (caps), protective overalls, gloves, and professional-grade masks. We also provide the canvases or surfaces you'll be working on. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of dust on. We handle the rest!

Is the spray paint safe for a school environment?

Safety is our absolute priority, especially when we're teaching you how to bring this into a school environment. We use low-odour professional spray paint and provide all necessary PPE, including masks and gloves. During the workshop, we also cover the 'Graffiti Code of Ethics' and legalities, ensuring you can teach your students the difference between commissioned street art and illegal vandalism.

Can I use this training for my formal CPD requirements?

Yes, our training is specifically structured to help you meet Art and Design curriculum goals. We focus on techniques that translate well to secondary school projects, such as stencilling, colour theory, and typography. You will leave with a structured lesson plan template and a clear understanding of how to assess student progress in a street art module, making your professional development truly practical.

How long does the workshop last?

Our Craiova teacher training sessions typically last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the theoretical background, safety briefings, and plenty of hands-on practice. If you are part of a larger faculty group, we can customise the duration to fit into your professional development day schedule. It’s a fast-paced, high-energy session designed to keep you inspired!

Do I have to pay upfront for the workshop?

We are so confident you’ll love the experience that we don't require any payment until the workshop is completed. We value trust and want to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the quality of our training before the invoice is settled. After the session in Craiova, we will send over the payment details for a simple bank transfer or online payment.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We generally require a minimum group of 5 teachers to run a dedicated professional development session, but we can accommodate large faculty groups of up to 40 people. For very large groups, we bring in additional backup artists to ensure everyone gets individual attention and feedback. If you are an individual teacher, get in touch and we can let you know about upcoming open-enrolment dates!

Local culture

Craiova is a city with a soul that bridges the gap between historic Oltenian tradition and modern urban energy. From the stunning architecture of the Craiova Art Museum to the bustling vibes near the Romanescu Park, there is inspiration around every corner. The street art scene here is growing, with local walls starting to reflect the creativity of the younger generation. We love bringing our workshops to this city because the educators here are passionate about providing their students with cutting-edge creative outlets.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Craiova is home to one of the most beautiful parks in Europe? Nicolae Romanescu Park offers over 90 hectares of greenery—the perfect place to sketch out your next big mural ideas before we hit the spray cans!
