Do I need previous experience with spray paint to join?

Absolutely! Our art teacher training in Timisoara is designed for all skill levels. We start with the absolute basics of spray can control, safety, and letter structure. You don't need to be a gallery artist to succeed; you just need an open mind and a willingness to get your hands a little messy. By the end of the session, you'll have the confidence to demonstrate these techniques to your own students successfully.

What safety equipment is provided during the training?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every participant. During the training, we also cover the essential safety protocols you'll need to implement in a school setting, such as proper ventilation, storage of flammable materials, and managing student boundaries during a spray session. You'll leave feeling fully prepared to run a hazard-free workshop in your own school environment.

How long does the teacher training session last?

Our standard professional development sessions usually last between 2 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows us to cover the history of the movement, master the basic technical skills, and complete a collaborative mural. However, we also offer half-day and full-day intensive masterclasses if you're looking for a deeper dive into curriculum integration and advanced artistic techniques. We can easily adjust the schedule to fit your school's PD timetable.

Can I integrate these skills into other subjects besides Art?

The beauty of graffiti is its versatility! In our Timisoara training, we show you how to link street art to various subjects. Beyond Art and Design, we explore how graffiti can be used in History (social movements), English (typography and poetry), and even Maths (geometry and scaling). We provide you with printable resources and lesson plan ideas that make it easy to bring urban art into any classroom setting.

Is it possible to book a session during the weekend or after school?

Yes, we offer flexible scheduling! While many schools book us for 'In-Service' or 'PD Days', we can also arrange weekend sessions or after-school workshops if that works better for your faculty. We bring all the equipment to your chosen location in Timisoara, or we can host you at one of our dedicated street art spaces. Just let us know your preference when you reach out for a quote.

How does the 'no upfront payment' policy work?

We believe in the quality of our training, which is why we don't require any payment upfront. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. This gives you total peace of mind and ensures that you are 100% satisfied with the professional development experience we've delivered. If your school requires specific invoicing or purchase order processes, our administrative team is happy to handle that for you.

Boost Student Engagement: Street art is "cool"—it’s a direct way to connect with hard-to-reach students and spark their interest in school. 🔥
Master New Techniques: Learn the physics of aerosol art, from "fat caps" to stencil work, and add a completely new medium to your repertoire. 🎤
Safe & Professional: We teach you the exact safety protocols needed to bring spray painting into a school environment responsibly.
Cross-Curricular Potential: Discover how graffiti links to social justice, history, typography, and community identity.
Stress Relief for Staff: Let's be honest—spraying a wall is a fantastic way for a hard-working teaching team to bond and de-stress! 🎭
Immediate Results: Unlike oil painting, graffiti is fast. You'll see massive progress in just a few hours.

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us to discuss your school's specific goals and the number of teachers attending.
Inspiration & history: We begin the session with a briefing on the evolution of street art from New York to the streets of Timisoara.
Safety briefing: Learn the essential rules for handling aerosol cans and setting up a safe workspace for students.
The first line: Get comfortable with the cans by practicing basic strokes, dots, and pressure control on practice boards.
Tagging & lettering: Master the art of the 'tag' and 'throw-up', focusing on flow, style, and spatial awareness.
Concept development: Work together to design a piece that incorporates educational themes or school values.
The grand mural: Apply your new skills to create a large-scale collaborative artwork using advanced Filling and Outlining techniques.
Curriculum workshop: A final sit-down to discuss how to translate these practical skills into a structured lesson plan for your classes.

Local culture

Timisoara has always been a city of firsts and a bastion of free expression, making it the ideal backdrop for a street art revolution. From the historic charm of Union Square to the modern energy of the student campus, the city is increasingly embracing urban art as a legitimate cultural force. During our training, we often draw inspiration from the International Street Art Festival of Timisoara (FISUT), which has transformed many of the city's grey walls into vibrant masterpieces. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Timisoara was one of the first cities in Romania to officially designate legal walls for graffiti artists? This progressive attitude makes it a fantastic place for teachers to explore the boundary between "vandalism" and "fine art" with their students.

In our workshop, we'll discuss local legends and how Timisoara's unique architecture provides a stunning canvas for modern interventions. It's about connecting your classroom to the very streets your students walk every day. ✨
