Is the graffiti workshop safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for younger students. We use high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks and gloves. Our professional artists are experienced in working with primary school children in Sliven, providing constant supervision and clear instructions to ensure everyone has a blast while staying completely safe throughout the creative process.

What should the students wear to the workshop?

We recommend that students wear old clothes that they don't mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide protective overalls, graffiti can be a messy business! Comfortable shoes are also a must as the kids will be on their feet, moving around their masterpieces. It’s all part of the authentic street art experience here in Sliven!

Do the children need to have any artistic skills beforehand?

Not at all! Our Sliven workshops are designed for all skill levels. Our artists guide the children through the basics, starting with simple shapes and letters. We focus on 'controlled' spraying techniques that allow even the youngest kids to produce something they are proud of. It’s about discovering new talents and having a great time, regardless of prior experience.

Where in Sliven will the workshop take place?

We are incredibly flexible! We can host the workshop right at your school grounds in Sliven if you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated indoor area. Alternatively, we can arrange a local Sliven creative space. Wherever we go, we take care of all the setup and cleaning, leaving you with nothing but great memories and colourful art.

How long does a standard workshop last?

A typical primary school session lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy and focus. We spend the first part on history and technique, and the majority of the time on hands-on spraying. We find this timeframe works perfectly for the Sliven school schedule while giving every child enough time to finish their piece.

What materials are included in the price?

In Sliven, we provide everything! This includes premium spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective masks, gloves, and the surfaces to paint on (usually large canvases or boards). We also bring sketches and inspiration boards. You just need to provide the eager students, and we will handle the rest of the logistics from start to finish.

Do we need to pay in advance for the school workshop?

No, you don't need to pay anything upfront. We believe in our service so much that we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. You only pay after the workshop is completed and you are happy with the results. This makes the booking process stress-free for Sliven schools and ensures we always deliver the highest quality experience for your pupils.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your primary school over traditional art classes? It’s all about the engagement and the "wow" factor that stays with students for years.

Confidence boost: Seeing a giant piece of art they created themselves builds incredible self-esteem in young children. 💪
Teamwork in action: Our mural projects require students to communicate and work together to create a unified Sliven-inspired masterpiece.
Safe rebellion: Graffiti gives kids a chance to express themselves in a way that feels edgy but is entirely supervised and legal. 🔥
Expert instructors: Our team consists of active street artists who know how to keep a class of primary kids focused and entertained.
zero-risk booking: With no upfront payment and a 100% satisfaction guarantee, your school budget is in safe hands!

Step by step

Intro and street art history: We start with a high-energy chat about the history of graffiti, from New York subways to the modern streets of Sliven.
Safety first: Every student gets fitted with their protective gear and learns the 'golden rules' of using spray cans safely.
The tag creator: Before picking up a can, kids practice their own unique 'tag' or nickname on paper, finding their personal style.
Spray tech 101: Our artists demonstrate how to control the pressure, create thin lines, and fill in large areas without drips.
First lines: Under close supervision, students head to the boards to make their first marks and get a feel for the paint.
Masterpiece creation: Now it's time for the main event! The kids work on a large collaborative mural or individual canvases.
Adding the details: We teach them how to add highlights and shadows to make their artwork 'pop' off the wall.
Group photo and cleanup: We celebrate the hard work with a group photo in front of the finished art and handle all the tidy-up chores.

Local culture

Sliven, the city of the hundred voivodes, has always had a strong sense of identity and bold expression. Bringing a graffiti workshop to a primary school here feels natural—it’s about continuing that tradition of being brave and creative. While the city is famous for its rocky 'Sinite Kamani', we’re here to add a different kind of vibrance to the local scene. We’ve noticed that Sliven kids have a fantastic energy and a real 'can-do' attitude when it comes to art. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Sliven was one of the first cities in Bulgaria to have a massive industrial textile industry? We often use this "weaver's history" as inspiration, showing kids how patterns and lines can come together in graffiti just like threads in a tapestry! 🧵
