Is the spray paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority! We use high-quality spray paints and provide all primary school students with protective overalls and gloves. For younger children, we can also use water-based spray cans that are low-odour and eco-friendly. Our professional artists are experienced in managing groups of children, ensuring a supervised and secure environment throughout the entire creative process. Everyone stays clean, safe, and happy!

Can you come to our school in Strasbourg, or do we travel to you?

Absolutely! While we love visiting schools in Strasbourg, we can also host your group at one of our legal street art locations or even set up at a local community centre. We provide mobile "graffiti walls" (specialist plastic stretching) that can be set up almost anywhere, making it easy to bring the workshop to your playground or hall without leaving any permanent marks on the building.

What is the minimum age for the graffiti workshop?

We recommend our primary school workshops for children aged 6 and up (Year 2 and above). At this age, they have the motor skills to press the spray caps and the focus to follow the artistic instructions. We tailor the complexity of the designs specifically for different age groups to ensure every child feels like a successful artist by the end of the session.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

A standard primary school workshop in Strasbourg usually lasts about 90 minutes to 2 hours. This provides enough time for a safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, and for every child to complete their own masterpiece. If you have a very large group or a specific school schedule, we can easily adapt the duration to fit your morning or afternoon timetable.

What is the maximum group size for a school event?

We are totally flexible! We can work with a single class of 20-30 pupils, or we can run multiple sessions throughout the school day to accommodate the entire school. For very large groups, we bring extra artists to ensure every child gets plenty of hands-on guidance and attention. Just let us know your student numbers, and we will handle the logistics.

Do the children need to bring any special equipment?

We recommend that children wear comfortable, older clothes just in case, even though we provide protective overalls. While the overalls cover most clothing, street art can sometimes be a little messy when kids are having this much fun! Other than that, just bring lots of energy and a willingness to try something new. We provide everything else, from the paint to the canvases.

How does the payment process work for schools?

One of the best things about our service is that we don't require upfront payments or deposits. You can book your workshop date with confidence, and we only settle the payment after the workshop has been completed. This makes it much easier for school administration and finance departments to process the booking without any financial risk.

The experience

Traditional art classes are great, but nothing captures a child's attention quite like a spray can and a blank wall! Here is why schools in Strasbourg are choosing our workshops:

Confidence boost: Students who might struggle with traditional drawing often find a new voice through the bold, forgiving nature of graffiti. 💪
Curriculum links: We can theme workshops around history, French culture, or social values like "community" and "diversity."
Teamwork in action: Large-scale murals require communication and cooperation, teaching kids to work together for a common goal. ✨
Zero stress for teachers: We handle everything—from setup to cleanup—so you can just sit back and watch your pupils thrive.
Memorable outcomes: Every student gets to create something they are genuinely proud of, often taking home their own canvas! 🏆
Guaranteed engagement: It’s "cool," it’s fresh, and it’s something they will talk about for the rest of the school year! 🔥

Step by step

Initial consultation: We chat about your school’s goals, student numbers, and preferred dates in Strasbourg.
The custom plan: Our team designs a workshop theme that fits your curriculum or a specific school message.
Arrival and setup: Our artists arrive at your school early to set up the mobile walls and prepare all the safety gear.
Safety first: We begin with a fun, age-appropriate briefing on how to use the equipment responsibly.
Skills demo: Pro artists show the kids how to shake the cans, control the pressure, and create basic shapes.
The creative phase: Students start painting! They work on individual pieces or a large collaborative school mural.
Expert coaching: Our artists move between students, offering tips and helping them refine their "tags" and designs.
The grand reveal: We finish with a "gallery walk" where students can show off their work to teachers and peers.
Easy pack-up: We handle all the cleanup, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them.

Local culture

Strasbourg is a city where tradition meets modern creativity. While the Petit France district is famous for its timber-framed houses, the city has a vibrant urban soul waiting to be explored. Our workshops draw inspiration from the local street art scene found in areas like the Coop or the outskirts of the city centre. We love helping Strasbourg’s youngest residents contribute to this cultural tapestry in a controlled, educational environment.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Strasbourg is home to several legal "walls of expression" where street artists from all over Europe come to showcase their talent? It’s a city that truly values urban creativity!
