Is the graffiti workshop safe for primary school children?

Safety is our top priority! We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits for every child. We use low-odour spray paint specifically designed for ease of use. Our professional artists are expert facilitators who supervise the group closely, ensuring that the spray cans are handled correctly and that everyone stays within the designated painting area. It’s all the fun of street art with none of the risks!

What should the students wear on the day?

While we provide protective overalls and gloves, we always recommend that students wear 'old clothes' that parents don't mind getting a little messy. Graffiti is a physical, creative process, and despite our best efforts with gear, a stray drop of paint can sometimes find its way onto a shoe or sleeve. Think of it as a badge of honour from a day of serious creativity!

Do the kids need any prior drawing or painting skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basics—how to hold the can, how to control pressure, and how to draw a simple line. Our instructors are there to guide every child, from the naturally artistic to those who haven't found their creative spark yet. Everyone will leave with a piece of art they are proud to show off.

Where in Toulouse does the workshop take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop directly on your school premises if you have a suitable outdoor area or a well-ventilated indoor space. If you'd prefer to get away from the classroom, we can also arrange for the session to take place at a local legal graffiti wall or an inspiring urban spot in Toulouse to give the kids an authentic experience.

Will the children create individual pieces or a group mural?

A standard primary school workshop focuses on collaborative mural painting. After practicing individual techniques, the students work together on a large-scale project. This promotes teamwork, communication, and shared pride. However, we can also offer individual canvases if you’d like each child to have a physical piece of art to take home at the end of the day. Just let us know your preference!

Can the workshop be linked to a specific school project or theme?

We certainly can! Graffiti is a fantastic way to explore themes like the environment, local Toulouse history, or school values like 'respect' and 'kindness'. If you are currently working on a specific curriculum topic, let us know in advance. Our artists can tailor the design and the introductory talk to reinforce what the students are learning in the classroom in a fun, visual way.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your pupils? It’s more than just spray painting walls—it’s about building confidence and seeing the world differently. Here is why schools in Toulouse love working with us:

Boosts Confidence: Seeing a giant piece of art they helped create gives kids a massive sense of achievement. ✨
Teamwork in Action: Nothing says "collaboration" like 30 kids working together on one massive mural.
Alternative Learning: Perfect for reaching students who struggle with traditional pen-and-paper tasks. 🏆
Zero Stress for Teachers: We handle the setup, the teaching, and the cleanup. You can just enjoy watching your students thrive!
Professional Quality: We aren't just hobbyists; our artists are pros who know how to engage and inspire young minds. 🔥

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with an energetic intro to street art culture and a full safety briefing, getting the kids kitted out in their protective gear.
The Art of the Tag: Students learn the foundations of typography by creating their own 'tag' or 'artist name' on paper first.
Spray Can Basics: Our pros demonstrate the technical side—learning about caps, pressure control, and how to stand for the best results.
First Lines: Each child gets a chance to practice basic shapes and lines on a practice wall to build their confidence with the spray can.
The Big Design: We move onto the main project, where children begin sketching the outlines of our collaborative mural or individual pieces.
Filling & Fading: This is the colourful part! Kids learn how to fill in large areas and create cool gradient 'fades' between colours.
The Outline: Our artists help the students add the final sharp outlines and highlights that make the graffiti 'pop' off the wall.
The Reveal: We step back to admire the finished masterpiece, take a group photo, and discuss what we've learned about teamwork and creativity.

Local culture

Toulouse, known as the Ville Rose (Pink City) for its iconic terracotta bricks, has a secret identity as a massive open-air gallery. From the vibrant murals in the Arnaud Bernard district to the legendary walls of the Ponts-Jumeaux, the city lives and breathes urban art. We bring that authentic 'Toulousain' street spirit directly to your primary school.

Our workshops aren't just about painting; they are about connecting with the local culture. We might find inspiration in the city's aviation history or the flowing Garonne river. Fun Fact: Did you know Toulouse hosts the 'Rose Béton' festival? It's a huge international street art event that turns the whole city into a masterpiece, proving that graffiti is a celebrated part of our local heritage! 🚀
