Is the spray paint safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for every school session. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student. Our spray paints are low-odour and we always conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially designated zones. Our professional artists are fully trained in health and safety protocols to ensure a worry-free creative environment for both teachers and students.

Where in Toulouse do the workshops take place?

We are completely flexible! We can host the workshop right on your school grounds in Toulouse (playgrounds or car parks work perfectly), or we can arrange a session at one of the city's legal 'Mur d'expression' locations. If the weather doesn't play ball, we have mobile indoor setups using water-based paint or large-scale canvases to ensure the fun doesn't stop.

How long does a typical workshop last?

Our standard secondary school workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe is perfect as it fits within a morning or afternoon school block while providing enough time for the 'Tag Creator' planning phase, technical practice, and the final creation of a large-scale mural. If you have a specific schedule to meet, just let us know!

What is the ideal group size for a school workshop?

We recommend group sizes of 10 to 30 students per artist to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention and spray time. For larger year groups or entire school sets, we simply bring in more of our professional artists. We have a deep roster of backup artists to ensure your event always goes ahead as planned, regardless of the group size.

Do the students need any prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basics of 'tagging' and 'throwing up.' Most students are amazed at how quickly they can create something impressive once they learn the correct wrist movements and pressure control. It’s all about building confidence and letting their unique personalities shine through on the canvas.

Can you bring the workshop to our school campus?

Yes, we are 100% mobile. While we love the street art vibe of Toulouse's city centre, our artists are happy to travel to any school in the Haute-Garonne department. Whether you are located in the heart of the city or in the surrounding suburbs like Blagnac or Colomiers, we bring all the equipment, boards, and expertise directly to your gates.

How do we book and when do we pay?

Booking is simple and risk-free. You can start by using our Cost Calculator for an instant estimate. Once you're ready, we'll lock in the date. The best part? No upfront payment is required. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed, ensuring you are 100% satisfied with the creative experience we've delivered to your students.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti experience for your secondary school students? It’s more than just painting; it’s about confidence, teamwork, and discovering a new way to communicate. Here’s why it’s a total game-changer:

Boosts creative confidence: Even students who 'can't draw' find success with graffiti techniques! 🏆
Team building: Working on a collective mural teaches students how to collaborate and respect different styles.
Authentic urban culture: Learn from real pros who know the difference between vandalism and fine art. 🎤
Zero stress for teachers: We bring everything! No mess, no fuss, and we handle all the risk assessments.
100% Satisfaction: With our backup artist guarantee, your event is safe with us. 💪

Step by step

The intro & sketch: We kick things off with a brief history of graffiti and safety briefing. Students then use our 'Tag Creator' method to sketch their first designs on paper.
Nozzle knowledge: Students learn about different 'caps' or nozzles. They'll discover how to create thin lines for detail and fat lines for filling.
First lines: Each student gets their own practice space to get a feel for the spray can’t pressure and distance.
Mastering the 'Tag': We move on to lettering basics. Students learn how to turn their name or nickname into a stylized urban tag.
The 'Throw-up' technique: Taking it to the next level, we teach bubble letters and 3D effects to make their names pop off the wall.
Collaborative mural: The class works together on a massive collective artwork, combining their individual styles into one epic masterpiece.
Fine-tuning & details: Our artists help students add the finishing touches—highlights, outlines, and 'force fields' to perfect the look.
The big reveal: We take a group photo with the final artwork—a perfect memory for the school yearbook or social media!

Local culture

Toulouse, famous for its iconic terracotta bricks, provides the perfect backdrop for vibrant street art. From the legendary murals at Place des Tiercerettes to the ever-evolving walls of the Arnaud Bernard district, 'La Ville Rose' is a canvas waiting to be explored. Our workshops tap into this local heritage, showing students how modern graffiti can respect and enhance the urban landscape. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Toulouse hosts the 'Open Summer' festival? It's one of the biggest urban culture events in southern France, proving that this city is a true heavyweight in the European street art scene! 🔥

Pricing

Our workshop prices are transparent and designed to offer great value for schools. Rates typically range from €30 to €65 per person, depending on the number of students, the duration of the session, and whether we are creating permanent murals or individual canvases.

We believe in total peace of mind: no upfront payment is required. You only pay once the workshop is finished and your students are buzzing with excitement! ✨
