Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most students joining our Toulouse workshops have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the basics, from safety and nozzle control to simple lettering techniques. We provide a supportive, high-energy environment where making mistakes is just part of the creative process. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've helped create.

What materials are included in the university workshop?

We provide everything you need to get creative! This includes high-quality spray paint in a huge range of colours, protective overalls, gloves, and professional masks. We also provide the canvases or boards for your murals. We just recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on, just in case!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure no one breathes in fumes, along with gloves and protective suits. Our workshops take place in well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces. Plus, our artists are experienced professionals who supervise the entire process to ensure everyone stays safe while having a blast.

Can you host the workshop on our campus in Toulouse?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you want to host the workshop on your university campus, at a local park, or at one of our partner street art locations in Toulouse, we can make it work. We’ll handle the logistics of setting up mobile graffiti walls or protective floor coverings to ensure the site remains clean and professional.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Standard university workshops usually last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a large-scale collaborative mural. If you have a specific schedule or a larger festival event, we can adapt the timing to fit your needs perfectly.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

Our university workshops are designed for groups of 10 to 100+ students. For very large groups, we bring in multiple artists and set up several 'graffiti stations' so everyone gets plenty of hands-on time with the spray cans. It’s a fantastic way to bring different faculties or student societies together for a shared goal.

How does the payment process work for student unions?

We understand that university budgets and planning can be complex. That’s why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy. You don't need to worry about upfront costs; we focus on delivering an incredible experience first. Once the workshop is finished and everyone is happy, we handle the administrative side. Simple and stress-free!

Step by step

The briefing: We kick things off with a high-energy intro about the history of street art and a safety rundown.
Nozzle knowledge: You'll learn about different 'caps' (nozzles) and how they change the thickness and texture of your lines.
First tags: Start by practicing basic lines, dots, and your own 'tag' on a practice surface to get a feel for the pressure.
Sketching the mural: Together with the artist, the group outlines a large-scale design that represents your university or society.
Filling in: This is where the colour happens! Students work together to fill in the large sections of the piece.
Fading and effects: Learn how to blend colours and create those classic graffiti gradients and 'drips'.
The outline: Use high-contrast colours to make the design pop and give it that professional edge.
Adding highlights: The final touches of white and bright colours to give the artwork dimension and shine.
Group photo: Celebrate your hard work with a massive group photo in front of your finished Toulouse masterpiece!
