Is the graffiti workshop safe for younger students?

Safety is our top priority for every school event in Toulouse. We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves and masks, to ensure students are well-protected. Our professional artists are trained to manage large groups effectively, maintaining a safe and controlled environment. We use low-odour spray cans when possible and always conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor spaces or specifically designated areas to ensure everyone breathes easy while they create.

Can the workshop take place on our school grounds?

Absolutely! We are fully mobile and can bring the entire graffiti workshop experience directly to your school playground or sports field in Toulouse. We handle all the prep work, including setting up temporary 'graffiti walls' and protective floor coverings. If your school doesn't have a suitable space, don't worry—we also have access to fantastic local street art locations where your students can get inspired by the city's existing murals.

How long does a typical school session last?

For school groups, our workshops typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. We can easily adapt the timing to fit into your specific school timetable or split the day into multiple shorter sessions for different classes. This flexibility ensures that every student gets a hands-on experience without disrupting their other academic commitments. We recommend at least 2 hours for the best balance of theory and practice.

What is the minimum age for students to participate?

Our workshops are designed for students aged 8 and up. For younger primary school children, we focus more on simple shapes and stencil work to keep it accessible. Secondary school students often dive deeper into technical 'wildstyle' lettering and complex shading. We tailor our teaching style and the complexity of the project to match the age and skill level of your specific group.

Do we need to provide any materials or equipment?

Not at all! We provide everything required for a successful day of street art. This includes hundreds of spray cans in a vibrant array of colours, protective masks, gloves, and the surfaces themselves (whether that is large canvases, boards, or a temporary wall). We even bring along professional markers for the initial sketching phase. The only thing we ask the school to provide is an enthusiastic group of students!

Can students work together on a large mural for the school?

Definitely. Many schools in Toulouse choose to have students work together on a large, shared mural that can later be displayed in a hallway or common area. Collaborative projects are fantastic for teaching teamwork, communication, and shared pride. Alternatively, students can work on individual canvases to take home. We can even theme the workshop around a specific school value or educational topic you are currently teaching.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Toulouse weather is usually lovely, but we always have a plan B! If the forecast looks rainy, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or use professional large-scale canvases in a well-ventilated indoor hall. Thanks to our team of backup artists, we are very flexible with scheduling. We will work closely with you to ensure the workshop goes ahead safely, regardless of the weather.

How much does a graffiti workshop cost for a school group?

Our pricing for schools is very competitive and is calculated based on the number of students and the duration of the session. Generally, prices range from €30 to €65 per student. Larger groups often benefit from a lower price per person. Because every school's needs are different, we recommend requesting a custom quote so we can provide the most accurate pricing for your specific project and budget.

Local culture

Toulouse, known as 'La Ville Rose' for its iconic terracotta bricks, is also a hidden gem of the French street art scene. From the vibrant murals in the Arnaud Bernard district to the legendary walls of the Miss Van trail, the city breathes creativity. Our workshops tap into this local heritage, showing students that art isn't just found in the Fondation Bemberg, but all around them on the streets they walk every day.

Fun Fact: Toulouse is the birthplace of several world-renowned street artists, and the city hosts the 'Rose Béton' festival, which has transformed many of its grey facades into world-class open-air galleries!

By bringing a graffiti workshop to your school, you're connecting your students with the living, breathing heart of Toulouse's modern culture. We celebrate the city's unique blend of aeronautic history and urban grit, encouraging students to find their own "Toulousain" style through their art.
