What should our secondary school students wear?

While we provide professional-grade protective overalls and gloves, we always recommend students wear 'grubby' clothes and old trainers. Spray paint is permanent, and while we take every precaution, a stray drip of paint on a brand-new designer hoodie is a tragedy we'd all like to avoid! Our artists will give a full safety briefing before any cans are shaken to ensure everyone stays clean and safe.

Is the spray paint safe for students to use?

Safety is our absolute number one priority. We use low-pressure spray cans which are much easier for teenagers to control, and we provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure no one is inhaling fumes. Our artists are highly experienced in managing large groups of energetic students, ensuring the spray paint stays on the wall or canvas and away from anything it shouldn't be touching.

Do students need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basics of 'can control'—how to hold the nozzle, how to move your arm, and how to create clean lines. Our professional artists are there to guide every student, from those who think they can't draw a stick figure to the more naturally gifted artists in the class. Everyone leaves with something they are proud of.

Where in Mazeikiai does the workshop take place?

We are totally flexible! We can bring the workshop to your school grounds in Mazeikiai if you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated indoor area. Alternatively, we can arrange for the session to take place at a local legal graffiti wall. Most secondary schools prefer us to come to them as it saves on transport logistics for the students and teachers.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

A standard secondary school workshop lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for an introduction to street art history, a safety briefing, a practice session on individual boards, and then the final 'masterpiece' creation. If you have a specific school timetable to stick to, we can easily condense or expand the session to fit your double-period or afternoon activity slot perfectly.

What is the ideal group size for a school session?

Generally, our school groups range from 15 to 30 students per artist to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention. For larger year groups or entire school events in Mazeikiai, we simply bring more artists! We have a deep roster of backup artists, so even if someone falls ill, the workshop goes ahead. We can handle groups of up to 100+ students with enough notice.

Can the students create a permanent mural for the school?

While individual canvases are popular, many secondary schools in Mazeikiai choose to have the students collaborate on one or two large wooden panels. These panels can then be permanently mounted in the school halls, the canteen, or the art department. It’s a fantastic way to brighten up the school environment and gives the students a lasting sense of pride and ownership over their communal space.

The experience

Why bring Graffitifun to your school in Mazeikiai? Because we don't just teach art—we build confidence and community. Here is why our workshops are a hit:

Boosts Creativity: It encourages students who might struggle with traditional fine art to find their voice in a modern medium. 🎨
Stress Relief: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the 'hiss' of a spray can and the freedom of large-scale movement. ✨
Team Building: Collaborative murals require communication, planning, and shared success. 🤝
Zero Stress for Teachers: We bring everything. No prep, no mess for the faculty, and no stress! 🎉
Professional Guidance: Learn from real-world artists who live and breathe street art culture. 🏆
Instant Results: Students see a massive transformation in their work within just a couple of hours. 💪

Step by step

The intro & street art history: We kick things off with a high-energy intro, talking about the roots of graffiti and how it evolved into the global street art movement we see today.
Safety first: Every student gets kitted out in protective gear and learns the essential 'do's and don'ts' of using professional spray cans.
The first nozzle click: Students start by practicing basic lines, dots, and 'fades' on practice boards to get a feel for the pressure and flow of the paint.
Sketching the vision: Our artists help students sketch out their designs, focusing on bold lettering, 3D effects, and character work.
Colour selection: This is where the magic happens! We choose vibrant colour palettes that pop, teaching the kids about the colour wheel and contrast.
The main event: Students begin work on their final project, whether it's an individual canvas or a massive collaborative school mural.
The finishing touches: We teach 'outlining' and 'highlighting' techniques—the secret steps that make graffiti look professional and sharp.
Group photo & gallery: We celebrate the hard work with a group photo and a 'gallery walk' where everyone presents their creative achievements.

Local culture

Mazeikiai might be known for its industrial heritage and its role as a key northern Lithuanian hub, but beneath the surface, there's a growing appreciation for modern urban culture. Bringing a graffiti workshop to a school here is a brilliant way to connect the city's industrious spirit with the creativity of the next generation. It’s about showing students that they can transform their environment through art and expression.

Fun Fact: While Mazeikiai is famous for its energy sector, the real energy comes from its local youth! By introducing street art here, we're helping build a community where creativity flows as fast as the Venta River.
