How long does a typical university graffiti workshop last?

Most university workshops in Mažeikiai last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for a comprehensive introduction to street art history, a safety briefing, technique practice on plastic walls, and the final creation of your masterpiece. If you are planning a larger campus-wide festival, we can adapt the schedule to run multiple shorter sessions or a continuous drop-in graffiti wall throughout the afternoon.

Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely not! Our Mažeikiai workshops are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to those with a creative streak. Our professional artists guide you through every step, starting with basic spray can control and moving on to more advanced layering and shading techniques. You will be amazed at how quickly you can create something that looks professional and stylish, even if you have never held a spray can before.

What should students wear, and do you provide protective gear?

Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and professional-grade masks to ensure everyone stays clean and safe. While we take every precaution, we always recommend that students wear comfortable, older clothes and shoes just in case. The paint we use is professional-grade, meaning it is permanent once it dries on the surface, so it is best to be prepared!

Can the workshop be held directly on our university campus?

We are very flexible with locations in Mažeikiai. We can host the workshop outdoors on your university campus using our mobile "cellograff" walls (cladding wrap between poles), or we can arrange an indoor session if a well-ventilated space is available. If you don't have a suitable space on campus, we can help find a local creative spot nearby to host your group.

What is included in the price and how does payment work?

We pride ourselves on 100% transparency. There is no upfront payment required for your booking; you only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. Our pricing includes all necessary materials like spray paint, caps, protective gear, and the guidance of our professional artists. We even have backup artists on standby to ensure your event never gets cancelled at the last minute.

Can we choose a specific theme for our graffiti mural?

Yes! Graffiti is a brilliant way to explore themes like teamwork, identity, or academic subjects. We can tailor the workshop so that students collaborate on one massive mural that represents your faculty or student union. Alternatively, each student can work on their own individual canvas to take home. Just let us know your goals, and we will customise the experience to suit your university's needs.

Local culture

Mažeikiai might be known for its industrial prowess, but there is a growing heartbeat of modern creativity throughout the city. From the scenic banks of the Venta River to the local cultural hubs, the city provides a fantastic backdrop for urban art. Street art culture in Lithuania has exploded recently, and Mažeikiai is no exception, with students often leading the charge in local creative initiatives. 🏙️

Fun Fact: Did you know that Mažeikiai is often called the "Oil Capital" of Lithuania? We think it is time to add a bit more "colour capital" to that reputation with some fresh student murals! ⛽✨
