Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most university students in Kaunas who join us have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We'll teach you everything from how to hold the nozzle to advanced shading techniques. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the high-quality mural you’ve helped create with your classmates.

Is the workshop safe and what should we wear?

Safety is our top priority. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We use professional-grade spray paint in well-ventilated outdoor or indoor spaces. Our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone starts spraying, ensuring a fun and hazard-free environment for everyone involved.

How long does a typical university session last?

A standard university graffiti workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe allows for a full introduction, sketching, practice runs, and the completion of a large-scale collective mural. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter lecture break, we can adapt the timing to fit your university's timetable perfectly.

What is the ideal group size for a student workshop?

We are very flexible! Whether you are a small student society of 10 people or a massive freshers' week group of 100+, we can accommodate you. For very large groups, we bring in additional backup artists to ensure everyone gets hands-on time and personal guidance. No group is too big or too small for a Graffitifun experience.

Where in Kaunas do the workshops take place?

The best part about Graffitifun is that we come to you! We can host the workshop directly on your Kaunas campus if there is a suitable outdoor wall or space. Alternatively, we can arrange for mobile wooden panels or even use dedicated legal graffiti zones in the city. We handle all the logistics to make it as easy as possible for your student union.

How does the payment process work for universities?

We believe in our service so much that we don't require any upfront payment. You can book your date and confirm the details, and then pay after the workshop is completed and everyone is happy with the results. This makes the administrative process much easier for university departments and student treasurers.

Can we choose a specific theme for our mural?

Definitely! We often work with universities to incorporate specific themes, such as faculty colours, student union missions, or local Kaunas landmarks. You can also use our online Tag Creator before the workshop to brainstorm ideas and styles that you’d like to see translated onto the wall during your event.

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: Our pro artists kick things off with a brief history of street art and a look at some iconic Kaunas murals to get your creative juices flowing.
Safety first: Get suited up! We hand out masks, gloves, and protective suits so you can spray without worrying about your favourite trainers.
Master the nozzle: Learn the 'can control' basics. We'll show you how to draw thin lines, fill large areas, and create that classic graffiti fade.
Sketching the vision: Work with your team to sketch the outline of your masterpiece on the wall or panels using light-coloured paint.
Filling & layering: This is where the magic happens. Start adding vibrant colours, gradients, and shapes to bring the design to life.
Outlining & highlights: Sharp outlines and bright highlights make the art pop. Our instructors will guide you through these final, crucial touches.
The big reveal: Step back, drop the cans, and admire the massive collective artwork you've created with your fellow students.
Photo session: Capture the moment! We’ll take group photos of you and your crew in front of your new Kaunas street art masterpiece.

Local culture

Kaunas isn't just the second-largest city in Lithuania; it’s a living gallery. From the famous "Wise Old Man" mural to the hidden gems in the Courtyard Gallery, the city breathes street art. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, drawing inspiration from the Bold and modernist architecture that defines Kaunas. We love teaching students here because the energy is unmatched, especially in the vibrant areas around Laisvės alėja.

Fun fact: Did you know Kaunas is a UNESCO City of Design? It’s the perfect backdrop for a creative explosion like a graffiti workshop!

Whether you're studying at KTU, LSMU, or VMU, our workshops provide a bridge between the academic world and the gritty, beautiful reality of urban art that lines the streets of your city.
