Is the graffiti workshop safe for school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student. Our professional artists lead the session with a comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring everyone knows how to handle the spray cans correctly. We almost always host these workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated spaces to ensure a clean and safe environment for the kids to explore their creativity.

What if our students have no prior artistic experience?

Don't worry, that's exactly why we're here! Our Graffitifun instructors are experts at teaching absolute beginners. We start with the basics of 'can control' and simple lines before moving on to more complex shapes. By the end of the session, even the students who thought they weren't 'artistic' are usually the most surprised by the incredible masterpiece they've helped create. It's all about the process and having fun!

How long does a typical school workshop last?

A standard school workshop in Kaunas typically lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This timeframe is the 'sweet spot'—it gives enough time for a solid introduction, practice on the practice walls, and the completion of a large-scale final project without the students losing focus. We can certainly adjust the duration to fit into your specific school timetable or double-period slots if needed.

What is the ideal group size for a school workshop?

We can accommodate groups of almost any size! For school classes, we usually work with groups of 15 to 30 students per instructor to ensure everyone gets personal guidance. If you have a whole year group (100+ students), we simply bring along more of our backup artists to manage the crowd. This ensures every student stays engaged and gets plenty of 'spray time' during the event.

What materials do we need to provide as a school?

We provide everything! Your booking includes all professional spray paint (in a literal rainbow of colours), protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), high-quality canvases or plastic practice walls, and expert instruction. We even handle the setup and the intensive cleanup afterwards. All your school needs to provide is an outdoor space (like a sports court or car park) and a group of enthusiastic students ready to paint!

Do you offer these workshops in other Lithuanian cities?

Yes, we do! While we love the vibe in Kaunas, Graffitifun is active across Lithuania. If you have partner schools or other campuses, we also host workshops in Vilnius, Klaipeda, Siauliai, and Panevezys. Our team is mobile and can bring the entire street art studio setup to your school gates, regardless of which city you are located in.

What are the educational benefits of a graffiti workshop?

Graffiti is a fantastic tool for alternative education. It teaches students about urban culture, colour theory, and scale, but more importantly, it builds confidence and teamwork. Students have to collaborate on large-scale pieces, communicating and compromising to reach a shared goal. It's a brilliant way to engage students who might struggle with traditional sit-down lessons, giving them a physical, creative outlet they’ll truly remember.

The experience

Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your school? It’s more than just spraying paint; it’s an educational adventure that hits different. 🔥

Boosts Confidence: Seeing a giant mural come to life from their own hands gives students a massive sense of pride.
Teamwork in Action: Nothing says collaboration like 20 students working on one massive, cohesive piece of art. 🤝
Cultural Education: We teach the history of street art, connecting it to modern urban culture and legal expression.
Inclusive Fun: Graffiti is a great leveller—it doesn't matter if you're the 'arty' kid or the 'sporty' kid; everyone finds their flow.
Pro Guidance: Your students learn from actual graffiti artists who live and breathe this culture every day. 🎤
Zero Stress for Teachers: We handle everything—setup, instruction, safety, and the cleanup!

Step by step

Intro & Culture: We kick things off with a high-energy talk about the history of street art and the difference between tagging and masterpieces.
Safety First: Every student gets geared up with masks and gloves while we explain the essential safety rules of the spray can.
First Lines: Students head to the boards to learn 'can control'—practising dots, lines, and fades to get a feel for the pressure.
Sketching the Vision: Based on a chosen theme (like school values or local Kaunas history), students sketch out their individual ideas.
Collaborative Outline: The group works together to outline the 'Big Piece' on a massive temporary wall or large canvases.
Filling & Fading: This is where the magic happens! Students use their new skills to fill in the design with vibrant colours and gradients.
Cutting & Detail: Our pro artists help the students add those sharp 'power lines' and highlights that make the artwork pop.
The Big Reveal: We step back to admire the finished mural, take a massive group photo, and celebrate the collective achievement.
Clean Up: We pack everything away, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them (except for the amazing new art!).

Local culture

Kaunas is a city where history meets a massive, modern pulse, and its street art scene is a testament to that energy. From the iconic 'Wise Old Man' mural to the hidden gems in the Yard Gallery (Kiemo Galerija), Kaunas is basically an open-air museum. Our workshops draw inspiration from this local 'Kaunastic' spirit, encouraging students to contribute to the city's rich visual narrative. 🏛️

Fun Fact: Did you know Kaunas hosts the 'Nykoka' street art festival? The city is so pro-art that even old trolleybuses have been turned into moving canvases! We bring that same 'anything is possible' attitude to every school workshop we run.

Pricing

Our school workshops in Kaunas are designed to be accessible and high-impact. Pricing typically ranges from €18 to €38 per student, depending on the number of participants, the duration of the session, and whether you want to keep the final canvases or create a temporary mural.

Because every school has different needs—from one-off workshops to full-week art residencies—we recommend getting in touch for a tailored plan.
