Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Professionalism and safety are our top priorities. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep students safe and their school uniforms clean. Our instructors are experienced at managing large groups of teenagers, ensuring everyone follows safety protocols while having a blast. We only use high-quality spray paint that meets safety standards, making this a worry-free experience for teachers and parents alike.

Do we need a specific wall at our school to do this?

While we love the grit of the street, we usually set up mobile wooden walls or large canvases at your school premises in Kaunas. This allows the students to paint in a controlled environment without damaging school property. If you’d prefer to visit a legal street art spot in the city, we can often arrange that too! The goal is to give them a real 'street' experience while keeping things professional and legal.

Do students need prior drawing or painting skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our artist-mentors guide the students through every step, from holding the can correctly to mastering complex shading techniques. We find that students who don't consider themselves 'artistic' often produce the most surprising and impressive results once they get a spray can in their hands. It’s all about building confidence and trying something new!

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard secondary school workshop typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This timeframe is perfect for diving into the history of the craft, practising basic techniques, and then completing a large-scale collaborative project. We can also adapt the session length to fit into your school’s specific timetable or double-period slots if needed. Just let us know your schedule, and we will make it work.

What are the educational benefits of a graffiti workshop?

Graffiti is a fantastic tool for secondary education! It covers elements of art history, design theory, and colour science. Beyond the technical skills, it promotes teamwork, boosts self-esteem, and encourages creative problem-solving. It’s also a great way for students to discuss topics like public space, legality, and social expression in a modern, relatable context. It’s education hidden inside an explosion of colour!

How does the payment process work for schools?

We believe in a stress-free booking process. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date in Kaunas. We handle the logistics, and you only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed and the students are buzzing with excitement. This is part of our 100% satisfaction guarantee—we are confident your students will have an unforgettable time!

Step by step

Introduction & History: We kick off with a high-energy intro into the world of street art, debunking myths and exploring its evolution from New York subways to global galleries.
Safety Briefing: Students get kitted out in protective gear. We explain how to use the equipment responsibly and respect the environment.
Mastering the Can: Our pro artists demonstrate 'can control'—teaching students how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
Sketching the Vision: Before hitting the 'wall', students brainstorm themes and sketch their designs, focusing on typography and composition.
The Big Outline: The real fun begins! Everyone starts applying their base outlines to the practice surfaces under expert guidance.
Fill-ins & Shading: We teach techniques for blending colours and adding depth, making the artwork pop with 3D effects.
The Final Flourish: Students add highlights, 'force lines', and their personal tags to finish the masterpiece.
Group Review: We gather the whole class for a 'gallery walk' to admire their hard work and discuss the creative journey.

Local culture

Kaunas is a city that breathes creativity, from its stunning Interwar architecture to its thriving contemporary art scene. As a former European Capital of Culture, Kaunas has embraced street art like few other places in the Baltics. From the iconic 'Wise Old Man' mural near the castle to the hidden gems in the yard of the Courtyard Gallery (Kiemo galerija), the city is a living museum. Our workshops draw inspiration from this local spirit, encouraging Kaunas students to contribute to their city's reputation as a hub of modern expression. 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know Kaunas is home to the 'Star Seeder' mural? At night, the silhouette comes alive as the wall's shadows align with the surrounding architecture. It's this kind of local ingenuity we love to share with our students!

Pricing

Our workshop prices are as flexible as our art. Depending on the number of students and the duration of the session, prices typically range between €18 and €38 per person.

We believe in transparent pricing and offer special packages for larger school groups or multiple-day bookings. No hidden fees and no upfront payments required! ✨
