Do the students need any prior art experience?

Absolutely! Our workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional graffiti artists start with the basics of spray can control and safety. We guide the students through every step, from sketching their ideas to final outlines. By the end of the session in Jonava, every student will have created something they can be proud of, regardless of their previous art experience.

Is the workshop safe for secondary school students?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. We use low-pressure spray cans which are easier to control, and we always conduct a thorough safety briefing before anyone starts painting. Our artists are experienced in managing groups and ensuring a secure, supervised environment throughout the entire workshop.

Where in Jonava does the workshop take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at your school grounds in Jonava if you have a suitable outdoor wall or space. Alternatively, we can use large mobile canvases or wooden panels that we bring ourselves. This means the school gets a permanent (or portable) piece of art without any mess on the actual school buildings. We handle all the setup and cleanup.

How long does a typical workshop last?

The ideal duration for secondary school groups is between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for the introductory talk, practicing basic techniques, and then collaborating on a large-scale project or individual pieces. We can easily adjust the timing to fit into your school's specific timetable or double-period slots to ensure a smooth flow for the day.

What are the costs for a school workshop in Jonava?

Our pricing is flexible and depends on the number of students and the specific requirements of your project. Typically, prices range from €18 to €38 per person. This includes all materials, safety gear, and professional instruction. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied. Contact us for a precise quote!

What should the students bring or wear?

We recommend wearing old clothes and comfortable shoes, just in case! While we provide full-body protective overalls, it's best not to wear your favourite designer gear. Other than that, just bring your energy and creativity. We provide the spray paint, masks, gloves, caps, and the surfaces to paint on. We've got everything covered so you can focus on the art.

Can we choose a specific theme for the mural?

Graffiti is a brilliant way to explore themes like identity, community, or local history. Many Jonava schools ask us to focus on a specific message, such as 'Sustainability', 'Anti-Bullying', or even the school's own values. It’s a powerful visual way for students to process these topics while working together on a monumental piece of art that represents their collective voice.

The experience

Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your school? It’s more than just a bit of paint on a wall—it's an educational experience that sticks with students for years. Here is why schools in Jonava love what we do:

Confidence boost: Students who might struggle with traditional art often find their rhythm with the bold, fast-paced nature of graffiti. 🚀
Teamwork in action: Creating a large mural requires communication, compromise, and collective effort. 🤝
Professional artists: Our instructors aren't just teachers; they are active street artists who bring real-world passion and skill. 🔥
Stress-free planning: We handle everything from the protective gear to the cleanup. No stress for the teachers! 🏆
Zero risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy and backup artists, your event is guaranteed to happen and be a success. ✨
Custom themes: We can tailor the artwork to reflect your school's curriculum, values, or local Jonava pride. 🇱🇹

Step by step

Initial consultation: We chat about your school's goals, group size, and any specific themes you want to explore in the Jonava area.
Safety briefing: On the day, we start with a vital safety talk, showing students how to use the gear and handle spray cans responsibly.
Sketching & concepts: Students grab pens and paper to brainstorm their designs, learning about letter structures and "flow".
Technical practice: Before hitting the main wall, everyone gets to practice basic lines, dots, and fades on a practice surface.
The outline: Our professional artists help the students transfer their best ideas onto the large-scale canvas or wall using light paint.
Filling & colouring: The fun part! Students work together to fill in the designs with vibrant colours and bold gradients.
The finishing touches: We teach the "cut-in" technique and how to add highlights and shadows to make the artwork pop.
Grand reveal & photos: We step back to admire the finished masterpiece. It’s the perfect time for a group photo with the new mural!
Tidy up: We handle all the cleanup, leaving your Jonava school site exactly as we found it—plus some amazing new art.

Local culture

Jonava has a unique industrial spirit and a growing appreciation for urban culture. Known for its iconic water tower and the beautiful Neris riverbanks, the city is the perfect backdrop for modern street art. We love bringing our workshops to this part of Lithuania because the students here have a raw, energetic creativity that truly suits the graffiti medium. Whether we are inspired by the local sports scene or the green surroundings of Jonava, there is always plenty of "local flavour" to inject into our murals.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Jonava is often called the "City of Midsummer" due to its famous Joninės celebrations? We often see students incorporating sun and nature motifs from these traditions into their modern graffiti tags! ☀️

Pricing

We believe in transparent, fair pricing for educational institutions. Our rates for Jonava secondary schools are typically:

€18 - €38 per student

The final price depends on the total number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and whether we are painting a permanent wall or mobile panels. Best of all? You don't pay anything upfront—only after the workshop is finished and you are happy with the results.
