Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Most university students in Marijampolė have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the absolute basics—how to hold the can, pressure control, and safety—before moving into more complex techniques. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the professional-looking mural your group has created together. It's all about the experience and having a blast!

What equipment is included in the university workshop?

We provide everything you need for a successful session! This includes high-quality spray cans in a huge range of colours, protective masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We also provide the 'canvas'—whether that's a mobile wall, individual boards, or a legal graffiti space. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on.

How long does a typical workshop last?

The duration is flexible depending on your university schedule, but most sessions last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, technique practice, and the creation of a large-scale collaborative piece. If you have a specific time slot between lectures or as part of a larger student union event, just let us know and we can tailor the timeline to fit.

What is the maximum group size for a student event?

We can accommodate groups of almost any size! For university cohorts, we usually work with groups of 10 to 50 people at a time. For much larger student festivals, we can set up a 'walk-in' station where hundreds of students can contribute to a massive mural throughout the day. We always ensure there are enough professional artists on-site to give everyone personal attention and guidance.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority. we provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 respirator masks to ensure no one inhales fumes, along with protective gloves. We prefer to work in well-ventilated outdoor areas or large open indoor spaces. Our artists are highly experienced in managing group safety and will provide a thorough briefing before any paint is sprayed, ensuring a professional and secure environment for all students.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor event?

Marijampolė weather can be unpredictable! If you've booked an outdoor session and it looks like rain, we can often move the workshop to a covered area or a large indoor hall. Because we have a team of backup artists and flexible equipment, we are usually able to adapt to the situation. We'll stay in close contact with your event organisers to ensure the workshop goes ahead smoothly.

Can we choose a specific theme or logo for our mural?

Yes, definitely! One of the coolest parts of a university workshop is creating something that represents your faculty, your student house, or a specific campus message. During the planning phase, we can discuss themes, colour palettes, or even help you design a stencil of your university's logo. Our artists act as mentors to help your specific vision come to life on the wall.

Local culture

Marijampolė might be known for its beautiful parks and the Šešupė river, but it's increasingly becoming a hub for urban creativity in Lithuania. The city’s unique "Malonny" (Marijampolė, London, New York) project has already brought world-class murals to the streets, making it the perfect backdrop for a university graffiti experience. There is a tangible respect for public art here that provides a fantastic atmosphere for students to explore their own creative voices.

Fun Fact: Marijampolė hosts the annual Malonny art symposium, where artists from NYC and London fly in to paint the town, making your city one of the most colourful street art destinations in the Baltics!

Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging students from the local colleges and technical schools to contribute to the city’s growing reputation as a modern, artistic centre. 🔥
