Is the graffiti workshop safe for individuals with sensory sensitivities?

Absolutely! We prioritise safety above all else. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for everyone. Our professional artists are trained to supervise the session closely, ensuring that the spray cans are used correctly and that everyone stays within their comfort zone while having a brilliant time being creative.

Are the workshop locations in Glasgow wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we make it a priority to select locations in Glasgow that are fully accessible. Whether we are using an indoor studio or an outdoor legal wall, we ensure there is enough space for wheelchairs and that the ground is level. If you have specific accessibility requirements, just let us know, and we will tailor the site selection to your needs.

Do participants need to have any prior drawing or art skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels. Our artists are fantastic at breaking down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the'joy of creation' rather than technical perfection. Whether someone wants to paint a simple shape or a full name, we provide the guidance to make it happen.

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard special needs sessions in Glasgow typically last between 1.5 and 2 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible; if the group needs more frequent breaks or a shorter, high-energy session, we can easily adjust the schedule to suit you.

What materials are included in the workshop price?

We provide everything! This includes a wide range of colourful spray cans, caps, protective gear (masks, suits, gloves), and the surface to paint on (usually large wooden panels or canvases). You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on—just in case!

Do we have to pay in advance to book the workshop?

No, there is no need for upfront payment with Graffitifun. We believe in our service and want you to be 100% satisfied. You can pay after the workshop is completed. This takes the stress out of the booking process and ensures you are happy with the experience we've delivered in Glasgow.

What is the minimum or maximum group size?

We recommend a minimum group size of 5 people to get the best atmosphere, but we can accommodate much larger groups too. For very large bookings, we bring in additional professional artists and backup staff to ensure everyone gets the individual attention and support they need throughout the creative process.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next special needs activity in Glasgow? Besides being a total blast, here’s what makes it so impactful:

Sensory Engagement: The vibrant colours, the cool touch of the cans, and the satisfying hiss of the spray provide a rich sensory experience. 🌈
Confidence Boost: There are no mistakes in graffiti—only "happy accidents." Creating something big and bold builds incredible self-esteem. 💪
Motor Skill Development: Using spray cans helps with hand-eye coordination and fine motor control in a fun, non-clinical way.
Total Inclusivity: We adapt our techniques for everyone, whether that means using stencils or providing physical assistance. 🎤
Professional Support: Our artists are experts at creating a relaxed, "no-pressure" atmosphere where everyone feels like a superstar.
Reliability: We have backup artists ready to go, so your workshop will never be cancelled last minute! 🏆

Step by step

Initial chat: We start by discussing the specific needs, interests, and abilities of your group to tailor the session perfectly.
Arrival and welcome: Meet our friendly professional artists at a vibrant Glasgow location and get comfortable with the surroundings.
Safety briefing: We explain how to use the equipment safely and put on our protective gear, making it a fun 'transformation' into artists.
Learning the basics: A gentle introduction to spray can control, showing how to make dots, lines, and fills in a low-pressure way.
Sketching the design: Participants help choose the colours and shapes, or we provide stencils and outlines for those who want a head start.
The painting phase: The best part! Participants start spraying their designs onto the wall or canvas with hands-on support from our team.
Adding the finishing touches: Our artists help add outlines or highlights to make everyone's work really pop and look professional.
Group photo and cleanup: We take plenty of photos of the final masterpiece for you to keep before packing up the gear.

Local culture

Glasgow is a city that wears its heart on its walls. From the world-famous murals of the city centre to the hidden gems in the West End, street art is woven into the very fabric of "Dear Green Place." Our workshops tap into this local heritage, giving participants the chance to feel like a real part of Glasgow's thriving urban art scene. We often draw inspiration from local landmarks or the legendary Glaswegian spirit of resilience and humour. 🏆

Fun Fact: Did you know that Glasgow has a dedicated "Mural Trail" featuring stunning large-scale artworks? Some of these murals are so realistic they look like photos, and they’ve helped turn the city into one of the top street art destinations in the UK! 🔥

Our sessions take place in accessible locations that celebrate this local culture, ensuring everyone feels connected to the artistic heartbeat of the city.
