The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your primary school? It’s more than just spray painting; it’s an immersive educational experience that hits multiple curriculum goals while the kids are having the time of their lives! 🚀

  • Boosts Confidence: Seeing a large-scale piece of art come to life gives pupils a huge sense of achievement.
  • Inclusive Art: Graffiti is a great leveller—you don't need to be 'good at drawing' to make something that looks amazing.
  • Team Building: Collaborative murals require communication, planning, and working together towards a shared vision. 💪
  • Urban Culture: Connects the classroom to the real-world street art scene found throughout Glasgow.
  • Stress-Free for Teachers: We handle everything from setup to safety, so you can enjoy the day with your students.
  • DBS/PVG Checked: Our artists are vetted and experienced in working within the Scottish education system.

Step by step

  1. Initial enquiry: Contact us with your preferred date, approximate group size, and your school's location in Glasgow.
  2. Theme selection: Choose a theme for your artwork! Whether it's the school's values, a specific history project, or just 'pure imagination', we'll prep the designs.
  3. Artist arrival: Our pro graffiti artist arrives at your school 30 minutes early to set up the 'zone' with boards, paint, and safety gear.
  4. The intro: We start with a high-energy intro about street art culture and an essential safety briefing.
  5. Technique practice: Kids learn the basics—how to hold the can, how to swap nozzles (caps), and how to control the spray.
  6. Creation phase: Under our guidance, the pupils start layering their colours and bringing their sketches to life on the boards or canvases.
  7. The finishing touches: Our artist helps the children add outlines and highlights to make their work really 'pop'!
  8. Exhibition: We finish with a 'gallery walk' where students can show off their work and take photos of their masterpieces.
  9. Clean up: We pack everything up, ensuring the area is spotless and leaving you with nothing but great art and memories.

Local culture

Street art in Glasgow

Glasgow is world-renowned for its incredible Mural Trail, featuring stunning works that breathe life into the city's gable ends and hidden lanes. Our workshops tap into this rich local heritage, teaching children that art isn't just something you find in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery—it's all around them on the streets of their own city! Whether we're discussing the famous 'St. Mungo' mural or modern street tags, we connect the workshop to the local culture of the 'Dear Green Place'.

Fun Fact: Did you know Glasgow is home to some of the most famous street art in the UK? The city even has a dedicated 'Mural Trail' that attracts thousands of tourists every year. Your pupils could be the next generation of artists to add to that legacy! 🏆

Pricing

Our workshop prices are as vibrant as our paint! Generally, the cost ranges between £25 and £55 per pupil.

The final price depends on your total group size, the duration of the session, and whether you want individual canvases or a giant collaborative mural. We aim to be as inclusive as possible for school budgets.
