Is graffiti spray painting safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority! We use water-based, low-odour spray paint that is much friendlier for kids than standard industrial cans. Every child is provided with a high-quality face mask, disposable gloves, and a protective apron to keep their school uniforms tidy. Our professional artists are all highly experienced in working with primary-aged children and maintain a fully supervised, controlled environment throughout the entire workshop session.

Do we need a specific outdoor area at our school?

We can set up almost anywhere! If your Liverpool school has a playground with a brick wall or a fence, we can attach our mobile plastic 'cellograff' walls to it. If the British weather decides not to cooperate, we can even move the workshop indoors to a gym or hall by using our special low-odour paints and extra floor protection. We are experts at transforming any school space into a temporary street art studio.

Can the workshop be linked to our current curriculum topics?

Absolutely! While we love free expression, we also offer structured workshops that tie in with the National Curriculum. Whether you are studying the Romans, the environment, British values, or modern art, we can help the children design and paint a mural that reflects those specific themes. It’s a fantastic way to make classroom learning feel huge, colourful, and incredibly memorable for the pupils.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

A standard primary school workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This allows enough time for the initial safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a group mural or individual pieces. We can easily rotate multiple classes throughout a single school day, ensuring every year group gets a chance to pick up a spray can and get creative.

What materials do we need to provide?

We provide every single thing you need. This includes all the spray paint, specialised nozzles (caps), safety masks, gloves, and aprons. We also bring the boards or plastic walls for the children to paint on. Your school doesn't need to provide any art supplies at all – just a group of excited children and a space for us to work our magic. We take care of the setup and the cleanup!

Is this activity suitable for children with SEND?

We believe that art is for everyone! Our workshops are highly inclusive and can be adapted for children with various SEND requirements. The physical act of spray painting is accessible and often very rewarding for children who may struggle with traditional fine-motor tasks like brush painting or drawing. We work closely with teachers to ensure every child feels confident, supported, and proud of what they create.

How much does a primary school graffiti workshop cost?

Our pricing is flexible to suit different school budgets and group sizes, typically ranging from £25 to £55 per pupil. For larger year groups or whole-school bookings, the price per head usually decreases. We don't require any payment upfront—you only pay after the workshop is complete and you're 100% happy with the result. Contact us for a bespoke quote tailored to your school's specific needs.

Step by step

Intro & Safety First: We start with a high-energy intro about the history of street art and a vital safety briefing on how to use the equipment responsibly.
The Masterclass: Our pro artists demonstrate 'can control,' showing the kids how to make thin lines, thick fades, and cool drips.
Sketching Designs: Pupils grab paper and markers to plan their tags or mural elements, focusing on letter structure and colour theory.
Gear Up: Everyone gets fitted with their masks, gloves, and aprons. Safety is our top priority while we get ready to paint.
Practice Makes Perfect: Children start on their own sections of the 'cellograff' wall, getting a feel for the spray pressure and distance.
The Big Build: We move onto the main event—painting the themed mural or individual canvases that will become your school's latest masterpiece.
Adding Details: Using specialized caps, the kids add 'highlights' and 'outlines' to make their artwork pop and look professional.
The Reveal & Photos: We step back to admire the work! It’s a great moment for group photos and for the kids to show off their achievements.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Liverpool is a city that lives and breathes creativity, from the iconic statues at the Pier Head to the world-class galleries at the Albert Dock. The street art scene here is legendary; just a short walk through the Baltic Triangle reveals incredible murals that turn the city into an open-air museum. Our workshops bring that same Scouse creative spirit right into your school. We love helping Liverpool pupils connect with their city's visual culture, teaching them that art isn't just something found in a frame—it's something they can create themselves on a grand scale. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Liverpool is home to some of the UK's most famous murals, including the giant wings in the Baltic Triangle and the stunning tributes to the city's musical and sporting icons? Your pupils might be the next generation to add to this amazing legacy! 🎨

Pricing

Our Liverpool primary school workshops are priced competitively to ensure as many children as possible can experience the joy of street art. Costs generally range between £25 and £55 per person, depending on the number of students, the length of the session, and whether you want individual canvases or a giant mural to keep.

Because we know every school budget is different, we offer flexible packages and "pay after the workshop" peace of mind. No hidden fees, just pure creativity! 💪
