Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every student. Our professional artists lead the session with a comprehensive safety briefing, explaining how to handle the cans correctly. We also use low-odour, high-quality spray paint to ensure a comfortable environment for everyone involved during the workshop. Trust us, your students are in very safe, expert hands.

Where in Liverpool do the workshops take place?

We are totally flexible! We can bring the workshop directly to your school grounds in Liverpool, using boards or plastic wrap to create a temporary 'legal wall'. Alternatively, we can help arrange a session at a local creative space or a known legal street art spot. Most schools prefer the convenience of an on-site visit, as it eliminates travel logistics for the staff and pupils.

How long does a typical school session last?

The ideal duration for secondary school groups is usually between 2 and 3 hours. This gives the students enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their 'tags', and then work on a larger, collaborative masterpiece. We can also adapt the schedule to fit into your school’s standard lesson blocks or make it a full-day creative 'takeover' event if you prefer.

Do we need to pay for the workshop upfront?

We don't want you worrying about admin! We offer a 'book now, pay later' policy. This means you can secure your preferred date in the school calendar without any upfront payment. We will send the invoice after the workshop has been successfully completed. It’s a hassle-free way for departments and school bursars to manage their budgets while ensuring the students don't miss out.

Do the students need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from the 'I can't even draw a stickman' types to the aspiring artists. Our pros break down the process into simple, manageable steps. By the end of the session, every student will have contributed to a piece of art they can be genuinely proud of. It’s all about building confidence and having a blast with a new medium.

What materials are included in the price?

We provide everything needed for a successful street art session. This includes all the spray paint in a huge variety of vibrant colours, caps (nozzles), protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' (whether that’s boards, film, or a wall). You just need to make sure the students wear old clothes and shoes, just in case they manage to get a little 'creative' outside of their protective suits!

Can the workshop be linked to the school curriculum?

Graffiti is a fantastic tool for exploring identity, community, and social issues. We can easily tailor the theme of the workshop to align with your current curriculum—whether that's History, PSHE, or English Literature. We've done workshops focused on everything from climate change to local Liverpool heritage. Just let us know your goals, and we will weave them into the artistic process for a truly educational experience.
