Do I need prior experience with spray paint to join?

Absolutely not! This training is designed for educators of all skill levels. Whether you are a fine arts master or someone who hasn't picked up a spray can since childhood, our professional artists guide you through the basics of can control, pressure, and safety. By the end of the session, you'll have the confidence to demonstrate these techniques to your students effectively while maintaining a safe classroom environment.

How long does a professional development session last?

The training typically lasts between 2.5 to 4 hours. This duration allows us enough time to cover the history of the movement, essential safety protocols, hands-on technique practice, and a collaborative mural session. If you have a specific schedule or time constraint in Vilnius, we can often tailor the session length to fit your professional development day requirements perfectly.

What materials are included in the teacher training?

We provide everything you need to get messy and creative! This includes premium low-pressure spray cans (easier for beginners), high-quality respirators, gloves, protective overalls, and various surfaces to practice on. We also provide digital resources and lesson plan templates that you can take back to your school to help integrate street art into your curriculum immediately.

Is graffiti art safe to teach in a school environment?

Safety is our top priority, especially in an educational context. We teach you how to set up a safe outdoor painting area, the importance of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and how to manage a classroom of students with spray cans. We use low-solvent paints where possible and provide industrial-grade masks to ensure a healthy environment for both teachers and students.

Can the workshop be held at our school in Vilnius?

Yes, we offer plenty of flexibility. While we love hosting groups at our inspired local spots in Vilnius, we can also bring the mobile graffiti setup to your school grounds if you have a suitable outdoor space. This is often a great way for teachers to learn how to manage the logistics of a workshop in their own specific workplace environment.

What support do I get after the training ends?

Following the training, you'll receive a 'Graffiti Fun Educator Certificate' and a digital toolkit. This kit includes step-by-step guides, safety checklists, and creative project ideas. Plus, you’ll have direct contact with our team for any follow-up questions when you start your first solo project with your students. We are here to support your journey as a street art educator!

The experience

Why choose our training in the heart of Lithuania? We bridge the gap between "vandalism" and "fine art," giving you the tools to lead your students safely and creatively. 💪

Authentic Artist Mentors: Learn from real street artists who live and breathe the culture in Vilnius.
Curriculum Ready: We provide lesson plans that align with modern educational standards. 📚
Confidence Booster: Walk back into your classroom as the "cool teacher" who actually knows how to use a spray can.
Safety First: Complete training on ventilation, PPE, and non-toxic material choices. 🛡️
Interactive Tools: Get access to our online 'Tag Creator' and 'Cost Calculator' for future school projects!

Step by step

Intro & Street Art History: We kick things off with a brief look at how graffiti evolved from underground tagging to a respected global art movement.
Safety & Gear Briefing: Learn about the essential PPE, including how to fit masks and manage spray can storage safely in a school setting.
Basic Can Control: Master the 'dots, lines, and fades' technique. You'll learn how distance and finger pressure change the output on the wall.
Lettering & Style: Our artists show you how to construct 'Throw-ups' and 'Pieces', focusing on structure, shadows, and highlights.
Stencil Work: Explore the world of stencilling, a fantastic tool for making street art accessible to students who struggle with freehand drawing.
The Collaborative Mural: Work together with fellow teachers to create a large-scale mural, practicing the coordination needed for group school projects.
Pedagogical Integration: We discuss how to link graffiti to history, social justice, and colour theory within your existing school curriculum.
Cleanup & Logistics: Learn the 'boring but important' stuff—how to clean caps and dispose of cans responsibly.
