Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the training?

No previous experience with spray paint is required! Our Panevėžys training is specifically designed to take art teachers from 'zero to hero'. We start with basic can control and safety protocols before moving on to complex mural techniques. By the end of the session, you'll have the confidence to demonstrate these skills to your own students, regardless of your current artistic background. It’s all about learning by doing!

How do you handle health and safety during the workshop?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every participant. During the workshop, we teach you how to set up a safe 'spray zone' in a school environment, including proper ventilation and distance protocols. You will leave the session with a comprehensive understanding of how to manage a graffiti project safely and professionally with your students.

Can I link this training to the national art curriculum?

Absolutely! Street art is a fantastic way to meet several curriculum goals, from exploring contemporary art history to developing fine motor skills. We provide you with a digital 'Teacher Toolkit' that includes lesson plans and project ideas tailored to different age groups. Whether you want to focus on typography, stencil art, or large-scale collaborative murals, we help you integrate these into your existing school syllabus.

What materials are included in the training package?

We provide everything you need for the day! This includes a wide range of professional spray cans in various colours, different nozzle types (caps), protective gear, and practice surfaces. You just need to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. We even provide the canvases or boards that you’ll use to create your final masterpiece.

How long does the teacher professional development session last?

The training typically lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the depth of the session you choose. For Panevėžys groups, we usually recommend a 3-hour intensive session which allows enough time for theory, technical practice, and a final collaborative piece. We are flexible and can adjust the timing to fit into your school's professional development schedule or 'extra-curricular' days.

What is your booking and payment policy for schools?

We understand that school budgets and schedules can be tricky. That’s why we offer a 'no upfront payment' policy. You can book your training date with us today to secure your spot, and payment is only processed after the workshop has been successfully completed. If something urgent comes up, our backup artist system ensures the training almost always goes ahead as planned!

Where in Panevezys does the training take place?

While we love heading to the capital or Kaunas, Panevėžys has a unique industrial charm that works perfectly for street art! We can host the training at a dedicated outdoor graffiti wall in the city, or we can come directly to your school premises if you have a suitable outdoor space. We bring the entire mobile studio to you, making it as convenient as possible for your department.

Step by step

Introduction & Theory: We kick things off with a brief history of street art and the evolution of graffiti from subculture to mainstream art form.
Gear & Safety Briefing: You'll learn about different types of spray cans, the importance of 'caps' (nozzles), and how to use protective equipment correctly.
Can Control Practice: Start with the basics—learning how to draw straight lines, dots, and smooth gradients by adjusting your distance and hand speed.
Lettering & Style: Our pros show you how to construct 3D letters, 'tags', and 'throw-ups' using classic street art fonts and techniques.
Stencil & Technique: Discover how to use stencils and tape to create sharp edges and intricate details that add a professional finish to any mural.
Collaborative Mural: Work together with your fellow teachers on a large-scale project, putting all your new skills into practice on a shared wall.

Local culture

Panevėžys might be known for its industrial heritage and the famous Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre, but it's also a city with a growing appetite for urban expression. The city's bold, architectural lines provide the perfect backdrop for exploring street art. We love the local energy here—it's a place where tradition meets a new, gritty creativity. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Panevėžys is often called the "Lithuanian Chicago" due to its industrial past? This 'gritty' reputation makes it the absolute perfect location for a street art revolution! We aim to help you turn those industrial vibes into colourful community masterpieces. 🏗️
