Is the spray paint safe for children to use?

Safety is our top priority! We use high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks, gloves, and aprons. Our professional artists are experienced in working with children and provide constant supervision. We also choose well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor locations in Petaling Jaya to ensure a safe, breathable environment for all the little artists to have fun without any worries.

What is the ideal age for a graffiti birthday party?

We recommend a minimum age of 6 years old. At this age, kids generally have the hand strength to press the spray nozzles and the focus to follow instructions. For the younger ones, we focus more on simple shapes and vibrant colours, while older kids and teens can dive into more complex techniques like shading and 3D lettering. We tailor the difficulty to the group!

Do the kids need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our friendly artists start with the basics, teaching the kids how to hold the can and control the flow. We guide them through every step—from sketching their initial ideas to adding the final highlights. By the end of the session, even the kids who claim they 'can't draw' will be amazed at what they've created.

How long does a typical kids party workshop last?

A standard graffiti birthday workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance of learning time, creative expression, and final photo opportunities without the kids losing focus. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive session involving a giant communal mural, we can extend the time to suit your party schedule in PJ.

What should the children wear to the party?

We provide aprons and gloves, but spray paint is permanent and has a knack for finding its way onto clothes! We strongly recommend that all participants wear 'play clothes'—items that you don't mind getting a few colourful splashes on. Closed-toe shoes are also a must for safety and comfort while moving around the canvases. It’s all part of the authentic street art experience!

Can the kids keep the artwork they create?

One of the best parts of a Graffitifun party is that every child gets to take their masterpiece home! We usually work on high-quality wooden panels or canvases that are easy to transport once the paint is dry (which happens very quickly). It makes for the ultimate party bag gift—a unique piece of street art created by them to hang on their bedroom wall!

What happens if it rains on the day of the party?

We’ve got you covered! We have access to various covered outdoor spots across Petaling Jaya that keep the rain off while maintaining great airflow. Alternatively, we can reschedule or look at mobile options. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we are incredibly flexible and will always do our best to ensure the party goes ahead as planned, rain or shine.

Step by step

Introduction & safety: Our artist meets the crew and explains how to use the equipment safely while wearing their cool protective gear.
The tag creator: Each child learns to design their own 'street name' or tag, practicing their signature style on paper first.
Can control basics: We head to the boards! The kids learn the 'ninja' moves of spray painting—lines, dots, and fills.
Sketching the masterpiece: Time to put the big ideas onto the canvas. Our artists help them outline their main designs.
Adding the colour: The fun part! The kids pick their favourite vibrant shades and start filling in their artwork.
Special effects: We teach them the pro secrets—how to add shadows, highlights, and 'drips' to make their art pop.
Outline & detail: A steady hand is used to add the final outlines, making the whole piece look sharp and professional.
Group photo: We gather the whole squad in front of their creations for an epic photoshoot.
Take it home: The paint dries fast, so everyone gets to take their custom street art home to show off!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Petaling Jaya (or PJ as we locals love to call it) has always had a vibrant, youthful pulse. From the busy streets of SS2 to the trendy hubs in Damansara, creativity is everywhere. In recent years, the street art scene in Malaysia has exploded, and PJ is no exception. By hosting a graffiti party here, you're tapping into a modern culture that celebrates individuality and bold expression. 🏙️

Fun Fact: Did you know that Malaysia is home to some of the world's most famous street art festivals? While George Town often gets the spotlight, Petaling Jaya's backlanes are increasingly being transformed into colourful galleries, making it the perfect backdrop for your little artist's big day!

We bring that raw, urban energy to your party, showing the kids that art isn't just something you see in a museum—it's something you create on the streets of your own city!
