Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most participants in our Petaling Jaya sessions have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists are expert instructors who break down the process into easy, manageable steps. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to more complex tagging and filling techniques. By the time you start your team masterpiece, everyone will feel like a pro! Everyone can contribute, regardless of their artistic 'skill'.

Is the workshop safe and what safety gear is provided?

We prioritise safety above all else. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. We use low-solvent spray paint whenever possible and always ensure our workshop locations in PJ have excellent ventilation. Our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing at the start of every session to ensure everyone handles the equipment correctly and stays safe while having fun.

Where in Petaling Jaya can the team building take place?

We are incredibly flexible! We can host the workshop at one of our vibrant street art locations in Petaling Jaya, or we can bring the entire setup to your office car park or a rented event space. If you have an outdoor area or a very well-ventilated indoor space with high ceilings, we can usually make it work. Just let us know your preference!

How long does a typical graffiti team building session last?

The ideal duration for a corporate team building session is between 2 to 3 hours. This allows enough time for a fun introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a large-scale collective mural. We can adjust the timing to fit your specific schedule, whether it's a quick energiser or a deep-dive creative afternoon. We work around your team's agenda.

Can we incorporate our company logo or specific brand values?

Yes, we can! Creating a 'Company Vision Mural' is one of our most popular options. We can help your team incorporate your company colours, core values, or even your logo into the artwork. It is a fantastic way to foster brand alignment and give your employees a sense of ownership over the company culture in a vibrant, visual way.

What should our team wear for the workshop?

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you wouldn't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on. While we provide full protective suits (overalls), it is always best to be practical. Since we are in Malaysia, light and breathable clothing is recommended as the activity can be quite active. We take care of everything else, including all the paint, canvases, and creative tools.

What is your booking and payment policy?

Unlike many other providers, we don't require upfront payments to secure your booking. You can book your date with confidence and pay after the workshop is completed. This makes the administrative process much easier for your finance department. We also have a pool of backup artists ready to go, ensuring that your event happens no matter what!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next corporate outing in PJ? It’s simple: it breaks down barriers like nothing else. When everyone is wearing a protective suit and holding a spray can, titles and hierarchies disappear. It’s all about the art! 🎤

Boosts creative problem-solving: Street art requires thinking outside the box (literally!) and quick decision-making. 💡
Enhances communication: Designing a large-scale mural requires constant, clear communication between team members.
Stress-busting fun: There is something incredibly cathartic about the 'hisssss' of a spray can—it's the perfect way to vent work stress. 📢
Inclusive for everyone: You don't need to be an artist. Our pros guide you every step of the way, ensuring everyone feels like a superstar.
Tangible results: At the end of the session, you’ll have a physical piece of art that represents your team’s hard work and unity. 🏆
Hyper-local experience: We know PJ inside out and bring that local 'Seksyen' energy to every single event!

Step by step

The artistic briefing: Your group meets our professional graffiti artists at your chosen PJ location. We start with an energetic introduction to the history of street art and a safety demonstration.
Mastering the nozzle: Every participant gets their own spray cans to learn basic techniques. You will practice 'flares', 'fades', and how to control line thickness like a seasoned pro.
Brainstorming the concept: Your team works together to sketch out a design. Whether it’s your corporate values or a wild abstract piece, this is where the collaboration really starts.
Outline and layout: Under the guidance of our artists, the team begins to scale the design onto the large canvas or wall, assigning roles for different sections of the mural.
Filling with colour: This is the most vibrant part! Your team collaborates to fill the outlines, learning how to blend colours and create amazing gradients that pop.
Adding the details: Once the main colours are down, it’s time for highlights, shadows, and sharpening those edges to make the artwork look professional and sharp.
The grand reveal: Step back and admire the massive piece of art your team created from scratch. It’s the perfect moment for a group photo to celebrate your collective success.
Post-event cleanup: We handle all the cleanup and packing. If you’ve painted on canvases, we can arrange for the artwork to be delivered to your office for permanent display.

Local culture

Petaling Jaya, or PJ as the locals lovingly call it, isn't just a satellite city of KL—it's a creative powerhouse in its own right! From the trendy cafes of Section 17 to the bustling streets of SS2, PJ is a city that appreciates self-expression. Street art has become a significant part of the landscape here, with beautiful murals hidden in the back alleys of PJ Old Town and near the LRT stations. Our workshops tap into this local 'Urban Vibes' culture, giving your team a chance to contribute to the city's artistic energy. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Petaling Jaya was originally developed as a suburb for Kuala Lumpur in the 1950s? It has since evolved into Malaysia's first 'planned city' and is now home to some of the most iconic street art projects in the Klang Valley!

Pricing

Our workshop prices are as flexible as our art! Because every team building event in Petaling Jaya is unique, prices depend on your group size, the location, and your specific requirements. Whether you want a small session on canvases or a giant mural on a permanent wall, we have a package for you. ✨
