Do we need to have any prior art skills to join?

Absolutely no artistic experience is required! Our Jekabpils workshops are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to those who have dabbled in art before. Our professional artists guide you through every step, starting from basic spray can control to more complex shading techniques. By the end of the session, you’ll be amazed at the high-quality piece of art you've managed to create with your team.

How do you handle safety and protective gear?

Safety is our top priority. We provide all necessary protective gear, including high-quality FFP2 masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. We work in well-ventilated areas or outdoors whenever possible. Our instructors are experienced professionals who provide a thorough safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can, ensuring a fun and hazard-free environment for all university students.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

A standard university workshop in Jekabpils typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This includes the introductory briefing, technique practice, and the final creation of your collaborative or individual masterpiece. We can also adjust the duration to fit into a specific lecture gap or as part of a longer university festival day. It’s the perfect length to get creative without taking up your whole day.

Is there an upfront payment required for the booking?

We believe in our service so much that we don't require any upfront payment. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. This gives your student union or university department peace of mind knowing that the event must meet your expectations before the invoice is settled. It’s all part of our commitment to 100% satisfaction!

What exactly is included in the workshop package?

We bring the entire studio to you! Our workshops include professional-grade spray cans in a huge variety of vibrant colours, caps (nozzles) for different line widths, protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and canvases or boards to paint on. We also provide expert guidance from our artists. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and bring your creative energy!

What happens if the artist is unable to make it?

Don't worry, we've got you covered! We have a dedicated team of backup artists ready to step in if your assigned instructor falls ill or has an emergency. This ensures that your university event goes ahead as planned without any disappointing last-minute cancellations. Reliability is one of the core pillars of the Graffitifun experience.

Can we choose our own location for the workshop?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at a location of your choice on campus, a local park in Jekabpils, or at one of our partner creative spaces. If you’re unsure where to go, we can help suggest locations that provide the right atmosphere and ventilation for a great spray-painting session. Just let us know your preference during the booking process!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next Jekabpils university event? Because standard mixers are boring, and everyone deserves a chance to spray-paint a wall at least once! Here’s why we’re the top choice:

Epic Teambuilding: Nothing bonds a group of students faster than creating a massive piece of art together. 🤝
Stress Relief: Forget exam stress for a few hours—the hiss of the spray can is the ultimate therapeutic soundtrack. 🎤
Professional Guidance: You’re learning from real-deal artists who live and breathe this culture. 🏆
Instagram Gold: Your campus social media will thank you; these workshops are incredibly photogenic! 📸
No Risk: With our "no upfront payment" policy and backup artist guarantee, your event is in safe hands. 💪

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy introduction to graffiti culture and a quick safety briefing to get everyone ready.
Design brainstorming: Your group works with our artist to sketch out a concept that represents your university spirit or specific theme.
Mastering the can: We teach you the 'can-control' basics—learning how to manage pressure, distance, and different nozzle types.
Outline session: Start by sketching the core shapes of your design on the canvas or wall under the guidance of our pros.
Fill & fade: This is where the magic happens! Learn how to fill in large areas and create those iconic graffiti gradients and fades.
The 'Power-Line': Add the final sharp outlines and highlights that make your artwork pop and look professionally finished.
Photo finish: We wrap up with a group photoshoot in front of your masterpiece—perfect for your university’s social media!

Local culture

Jekabpils is a city defined by the powerful Daugava river and its unique blend of historic charm and modern potential. While it might be known for its quiet streets and the beautiful Krustpils Castle, there is an underground pulse of creativity waiting to be tapped. Street art in Jekabpils is an emerging scene, and bringing a graffiti workshop here adds a fresh, contemporary layer to the local culture. It’s about taking that student energy from the local colleges and channelling it into something visual and bold. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Jekabpils is one of the few places in Latvia where you can see the Struve Geodetic Arc, a UNESCO World Heritage site? While that's about precision science, our workshops are about precision spraying—though we’re a lot more colourful! 🎨
