Step by step

  1. Initial brainstorm: We kick things off with a group discussion about the project's theme and what 'street art' really means.
  2. Design phase: Participants grab paper and pens to sketch out their ideas, learning about composition and lettering.
  3. Safety briefing: We kit everyone out in protective gear and explain the golden rules of using spray paint safely.
  4. Technique practice: Before hitting the main wall, everyone practices basic lines, dots, and shading on a training surface.
  5. Outline & fill: Our lead artist helps the group outline the main mural, and the youth work together to 'fill in' the colours.
  6. Detailing & 3D: We teach the tricks of the trade, like adding highlights, shadows, and 'second outlines' to make the art pop.
  7. The finishing touch: Participants add their personal tags or signatures to the work, taking ownership of the final piece.
  8. The big reveal: We take group photos and celebrate the incredible transformation of the space!

Local culture

Street art in Krakow

Krakow is a city where history meets the avant-garde. While the Old Town is famous for its medieval architecture, districts like Kazimierz and Zabłocie have become the heartbeat of the local street art scene. Our workshops draw inspiration from the city's famous murals, like the iconic 'Ding Dong Dumb' or the historical tributes found tucked away in the Jewish Quarter's courtyards. We celebrate the unique 'Krakow style'—a blend of illustrative storytelling and bold, modern graffiti styles.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Krakow is home to some of the largest legal graffiti walls in Poland? These areas allow artists to create massive works of art without the fear of them being painted over the next day! 🇵🇱
