How long does a typical youth graffiti workshop last?

Our youth projects in Odense usually last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives the group enough time to learn the basic spray techniques, practice their 'tag' on paper, and then dive into the main masterpiece. If you're looking for a longer, more intensive multi-day project or a mural for a youth centre, we can definitely scale the session to fit your specific needs!

Is it safe for teenagers and younger children?

Safety is our top priority! We provide everyone with professional-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks to filter out fumes, as well as disposable gloves and protective overalls to keep clothes clean. Our instructors are experienced professionals who ensure a safe, organized environment. We also prefer working outdoors or in very well-ventilated spaces to ensure everyone stays fresh and focused on the art.

Do the participants need any prior art experience?

Absolutely! No talent or previous experience is required. Our artists are fantastic mentors who know how to break down complex 'wildstyle' graffiti into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on the process and the fun, ensuring that every participant walks away feeling proud of what they've created. It’s all about building confidence through creativity, not about being a gallery-ready professional on day one.

What equipment do we need to provide?

We’ve got you covered! We provide everything: high-quality spray cans in a rainbow of colours, various caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear, and the canvases or boards we'll be painting on. All you need to bring is some old shoes you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on and your best creative energy. We handle the messy logistics so you don't have to.

Do we have to pay in advance?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility. We don't require any upfront payment or deposit. You can book your date with confidence, and payment is only handled after the workshop is complete. This makes it much easier for youth organisations and schools to manage their budgets and administration. We want the booking process to be as stress-free as the workshop itself!

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Weather in Odense can be unpredictable, but we’re prepared! If the forecast looks bad, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space with professional ventilation. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we almost never have to cancel. If the weather is truly extreme, we’ll work with you to reschedule for the next available sunny day.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: Meet your pro graffiti tutor and get kitted out in protective masks and suits. Safety first, style second!
The Art of the Tag: Learn the history of graffiti culture and start practicing your personal signature ('tag') on paper.
Can Control: Get your hands on the spray cans! We’ll teach you how to control the pressure, distance, and angle to get clean lines.
Sketching the Concept: Work together as a group to sketch out a large-scale design that represents your youth project's theme.
Filling & Fading: Learn how to fill in large areas and create cool gradient 'fades' and 3D effects within your letters.
The Outline: This is where the magic happens. Trace your design with a sharp outline to make the art pop off the wall.
Details & Highlights: Add 'shines', 'bubbles', and 'bits' to give your collective masterpiece that professional street art finish.
Photo Op & Cleanup: Snap some awesome group photos with your work. We take care of all the empty cans and mess!

Local culture

Odense has a growing appetite for street art, with vibrant murals popping up from the harbor district to the backstreets of the city centre. While H.C. Andersen is the city's most famous son, modern Odense is increasingly embracing contemporary urban culture. Our workshops celebrate this mix of old and new, encouraging youngsters to find their own voice in the city's evolving landscape. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Odense is host to various street art initiatives that aim to turn grey urban spaces into "outdoor galleries"? Our workshops give youth the skills to one day contribute to this thriving local scene! 📍

Pricing

We believe in transparent pricing and high-value experiences. Our youth project rates in Odense are designed to be accessible for community budgets:

Price: kr 200 - kr 450 per person

Please note that total costs vary based on the number of participants, the duration of the project, and the specific materials required (like custom-built wooden walls or large-scale murals). We don't require any payment until the workshop is over! ✨
