Why choose us in Brno?

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your primary school class in Brno? It’s more than just a painting lesson—it’s an experience that hits several key educational milestones while keeping the kids totally engaged.

Boosts Creativity: Graffiti breaks the rules of traditional art, allowing kids who struggle with 'fine art' to find their voice.
Promotes Cooperation: Large-scale murals require students to communicate and work together to achieve a shared goal.
Develops Motor Skills: Controlling a spray can helps improve hand-eye coordination and fine motor control in a unique way.
Encourages Respect: We teach the difference between vandalism and street art, fostering a sense of pride and respect for public spaces.
Stress-Free for Schools: No payment upfront and we handle all the setup and cleanup. If an artist falls ill, we have a backup ready to go.
Incredible Memories: Your students will talk about the day they became graffiti artists for years to come.

How it works

Introduction and history: We start with a fun, age-appropriate session on the origins of street art and how it evolved from tags to massive murals.
Safety briefing: Students learn how to use protective gear and the 'golden rules' of handling spray cans safely and responsibly.
Concept sketching: Every child gets a sketchbook to plan their designs, choosing colours and practicing letter styles before touching the wall.
Can control practice: Under our artists' guidance, students learn basic techniques like making dots, lines, and fades on a practice surface.
The big mural: The class works together on a large-scale collaborative piece or individual panels, applying their new skills to create a masterpiece.
Details and outlines: Our professional artists help the kids add those final 'pops' and sharp outlines that make the artwork truly stand out.
Group photo and cleanup: We celebrate the finished work with a class photo and ensure the entire area is left spotless and tidy.

Frequently asked questions

How do you ensure the safety of primary school children during the workshop?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits for every student. Our spray paints are water-based or low-pressure professional cans that are safe for outdoor use. Our workshop leaders are experienced artists who maintain strict supervision throughout the session, ensuring that students handle the equipment correctly and stay within the designated creative zones. We treat the workspace like a professional studio environment.

Can we host the workshop if our school doesn't have a legal graffiti wall?

Absolutely! While we love creating large-scale murals on walls, we are very flexible. If your school doesn't have a suitable outdoor wall, we can set up large wooden panels, heavy-duty plastic film stretched between posts, or even individual canvases. This allows us to bring the graffiti experience to your school playground or sports field without making any permanent changes to your property. We always leave the site exactly as we found it.

How long does a typical session last for a primary school class?

A standard primary school workshop in Brno typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This timeframe is perfect for keeping young minds engaged without them getting overly tired. We start with a 30-minute introduction to history and safety, followed by sketching, and then spend the remaining time painting. We can also adapt the schedule to fit into your specific school timetable or split the day for multiple classes.

Do the children need to have prior drawing or painting skills?

No artistic experience is required at all! Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and accessible for children of all skill levels. Our artists provide step-by-step guidance, from holding the can correctly to filling in shapes. We focus on the process of creation and teamwork rather than technical perfection. It is often the kids who think they 'can't draw' who end up surprising themselves the most with their graffiti skills.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

Graffitifun provides everything you need for a successful day of street art. This includes a wide range of colourful spray cans, protective gear (masks, gloves, overalls), sketching materials, and the canvas or boards to paint on. We even bring a backup artist to ensure the event goes ahead no matter what. You just need to provide the space and the enthusiastic students; we handle all the logistics and cleanup ourselves.

What is the minimum and maximum group size for a school booking?

We recommend a minimum of 10 participants per session to create a great group dynamic. For larger primary schools in Brno, we can accommodate entire year groups of up to 60 or more students by bringing in additional professional artists and setting up multiple painting stations. This ensures every child gets plenty of hands-on time with the spray cans and receives personal attention from our instructors throughout the creative process.
