Do the children need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our primary school workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our professional artists guide the children through every step, starting with simple shapes and lines before moving on to more complex designs. We focus on the process and the fun of creation, ensuring every student feels like a successful artist by the time the workshop ends in Liberec.

Is the spray paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every student. We use low-odour professional spray paint and conduct all spray-painting phases in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially set-up zones. Our artists are trained to supervise children and ensure that the equipment is used correctly and safely throughout the entire session.

What kind of space do we need to provide at the school?

Ideally, we need an outdoor space such as a school playground, a concrete court, or a parking area. If the weather in Liberec doesn't cooperate, we can set up mobile wooden walls or large canvases in a well-ventilated indoor space. We take care of all the floor protection and cleanup, so your school facilities remain spotless once we pack up.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything! This includes professional spray cans in a huge variety of colours, protective gear (suits, gloves, masks), caps, sketch paper, markers, and the surfaces to paint on (whether that's a communal wall or individual canvases). You just need to make sure the kids are wearing old clothes and shoes, just in case!

How many students can participate at once?

We are very flexible. While we recommend group sizes of 15-25 students per instructor to ensure everyone gets enough hands-on time and guidance, we can accommodate entire grade levels by bringing in extra artists from our Liberec backup team. We can also run back-to-back sessions throughout the school day to involve more classes.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard primary school workshop lasts about 2 hours. This includes the introduction, safety briefing, sketching phase, practice session, and the final creation. We can shorten this to 1.5 hours or extend it to 3 hours depending on your school timetable and how deep you want the students to dive into the art form.

Can we choose a specific theme for the mural?

Absolutely! We love it when schools have a specific theme, such as 'The Environment', 'History of Liberec', or 'School Values'. Our artists can prepare sketches and templates that align with your curriculum, making the graffiti workshop a truly integrated educational experience that reinforces what the children are learning in the classroom.

Intro and demo: We start with a high-energy introduction to graffiti history and a live demonstration by our pro artists.
Safety first: Every student gets geared up in protective suits, gloves, and masks while learning the golden rules of spray painting.
Sketching session: Before touching a can, kids brainstorm ideas and sketch their designs on paper to understand composition.
Can control basics: We teach the 'nozzle dance'—learning how to control pressure, distance, and angle to create different lines.
The practice run: Students practice their first tags and shapes on a dedicated 'try-out' surface.
Creating the masterpiece: Whether it's a giant school mural or individual boards, the kids start layering their colours.
Final touches: Our artists help the students add outlines and highlights to make their artwork truly pop.

Local culture

Liberec is a city where tradition meets modern energy, nestled under the iconic Ještěd Tower. While the city is famous for its stunning architecture and surrounding mountains, there is a growing appreciation for contemporary street art. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, showing students that creativity can happen anywhere—not just on a canvas, but right here in their own community. We often see Liberec students drawing inspiration from the local landscape, blending urban styles with the natural beauty of the Jizera Mountains. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that the Ještěd Tower's unique silhouette is a favourite subject for local Liberec street artists? Its futuristic shape is perfect for practicing sharp lines and perspective!
