Is the graffiti workshop safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for primary school workshops in Olomouc. We provide high-quality protective masks, gloves, and overalls to keep the kids safe and clean. We use low-odour professional spray paint, and our experienced artists supervise every single spray to ensure a fun, hazard-free environment for children aged 6 and up to explore their creativity safely.

Where in Olomouc can we hold the workshop?

Ideally, we recommend an outdoor space with good ventilation, like a school playground or a nearby park in Olomouc. However, we are flexible! If the weather doesn't play ball, we can set up indoors provided there is excellent ventilation and we can protect the floors. We bring our own mobile graffiti walls, so we don't need to paint the school buildings!

How long does the workshop session last?

A standard primary school workshop usually lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a safety talk, practice sessions, and the creation of a final masterpiece. We can also adjust the timing to fit into a specific school lesson block or an after-school activity schedule.

What is the ideal group size for a school workshop?

We can accommodate everything from a small class of 15 to an entire year group of 60+ students. For larger groups in Olomouc, we bring along extra professional artists and set up multiple spray stations to ensure every child gets plenty of hands-on time with the cans and personal guidance from our team.

Do the students need to bring anything or dress specifically?

While we provide protective gear, we always recommend that students wear 'play clothes' or older school uniforms they don't mind getting a bit of paint on. Spray paint is permanent, and while the overalls cover most areas, enthusiastic young artists can sometimes find a way to get a splash of colour on their shoes or sleeves!

Do the children get to keep their artwork?

Usually, the students work together to create large-scale murals on our mobile walls or large canvases. This promotes teamwork and collective pride. However, we can also arrange for students to create individual smaller artworks on cardboard or canvas boards that they can take home or display in their classroom as a permanent memory of the day.

Do we need to provide any materials?

Not at all! We handle everything from start to finish. We bring the mobile walls, the paint, the safety gear, and the inspiration. After the session, we dismantle the walls and ensure the area is left tidy. You just need to provide the space and the eager students, and we will take care of the rest of the magic.

Step by step

Intro & Inspiration: We kick off with a short, fun talk about the history of graffiti and how it evolved into modern street art.
Safety Briefing: Our artists demonstrate how to use the spray cans safely and how to properly wear the protective gear.
Sketching Designs: Students grab pens and paper to brainstorm their ideas, learning about 'tags', 'throw-ups', and colour theory.
Nozzle Control: Before the big mural, everyone gets to practice spraying lines, dots, and fills on a practice surface.
Background Layering: We start the main artwork by applying the background colours to our mobile graffiti walls.
The Big Outline: With guidance from our pros, the kids help outline the main characters or letters of the piece.
Fill & Detail: The most exciting part! Students use different colours to fill in the designs and add funky details.
The Finishing Touches: Our artists add the final highlights and outlines to make the artwork really ‘pop’.
Photo Op & Cleanup: We take group photos with the masterpiece before packing up all materials and leaving the site spotless.

Local culture

Olomouc is often called the "Little Prague", but we know it has a unique soul all its own. From the Holy Trinity Column to the student-filled streets near Palacký University, inspiration is everywhere. While the city's historic centre is a UNESCO treasure, the outskirts and student districts are seeing a rise in creative murals and urban vibes. Our workshops aim to connect this rich cultural heritage with the contemporary art forms of the 21st century.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Olomouc is home to one of the oldest universities in Central Europe? That's a lot of history! We love bringing something brand new like graffiti to a city that has been a seat of learning for centuries. ✨
