Why choose us in Cluj-Napoca?

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your primary school students? It’s more than just painting; it’s about confidence, motor skills, and pure joy! Here is why schools in Cluj-Napoca love working with us:

  • 🔥 Confidence Boost: Seeing a giant, colourful piece of art they created themselves gives kids a massive sense of achievement.
  • 🧠 Hands-on Learning: It’s a tactile, physical way to learn about colour theory, composition, and scale.
  • 🤝 Teamwork: Many of our school projects involve making a huge mural together, teaching kids how to collaborate.
  • 🛡️ Safety First: We use age-appropriate gear and professional artists who know how to manage a classroom.
  • 🌍 Cultural Connection: Introduce students to a modern art form that is relevant to their city and the world today.
  • 🏆 Stress-Free for Teachers: We handle all the setup, materials, and (most importantly) the cleanup!

How it works

  1. Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro about street art history and a vital safety briefing on how to use the equipment properly.
  2. Sketching the Vision: Every student gets paper and pencils to brainstorm their designs, focusing on nicknames or school-themed symbols.
  3. The 'Can' Masterclass: Our artists demonstrate basic techniques, from 'fading' colours to creating crisp 'outlines' and 'cap' control.
  4. Practice Makes Perfect: Students start by practicing lines and shapes on practice boards to get a feel for the pressure of the spray can.
  5. The Main Event: Whether on individual canvases or a giant shared mural, the kids start bringing their colourful designs to life.
  6. Artist Refinement: Our pros move around the group, offering tips, helping with tricky edges, and encouraging every single young creator.
  7. The Big Reveal: We finish by admiring the collective work, taking group photos, and discussing what each piece represents.
  8. Clean Up: We ensure the site is left spotless, and the kids take home their masterpieces (or we leave the mural as a permanent school fixture).

Frequently asked questions

Is the graffiti spray paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority! We use water-based, low-odour spray cans whenever possible and provide every student with high-quality protective gear, including gloves, masks, and aprons. Our professional artists are specifically trained to supervise young children, ensuring they follow safety protocols while having an absolute blast. We make sure the environment is controlled and creative at all times.

What should the students wear for the workshop?

We recommend that children wear 'play clothes' that parents don't mind getting a little messy. While we provide protective aprons and gloves, spray paint is permanent on fabric and kids can be very enthusiastic! Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are also a must for safety while moving around the painting area. We’ll take care of the rest of the protective equipment to keep them as clean as possible.

Can you host the workshop at our school in Cluj-Napoca?

Absolutely! We can host the workshop right on your school grounds in Cluj-Napoca if you have a suitable outdoor space or a very well-ventilated indoor area. Alternatively, we can help arrange a local creative space or a legal graffiti wall nearby. We are flexible and will work with your school's facilities to make the logistics as easy as possible for the teachers.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

A typical primary school session lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This includes the introductory talk, the sketching phase, and the hands-on painting. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for keeping younger children engaged and excited without them getting tired. We can also adapt the schedule to fit into your specific school timetable or a morning/afternoon block.

Do the children need any previous art experience?

No prior artistic skill is needed at all! Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and encouraging for every child, regardless of their drawing ability. Our artists guide them through simple techniques like 'tagging' and 'filling' that allow everyone to create something they are proud of. It’s all about building confidence and expressing their unique personality through bright colours and big shapes.

Can we choose a specific theme for the graffiti art?

Yes, we definitely can! Many schools in Cluj-Napoca ask us to focus on themes like 'Environmental Protection', 'Friendship', or 'Community'. We can help the children design a collaborative mural that reflects these values. It’s a fantastic way to combine art with your current curriculum or school ethos, making the experience both educational and incredibly fun for the students.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We usually require a minimum group size of 10 students to make the workshop viable, but we can cater to entire year groups or even the whole school! For very large groups, we bring in several backup artists to ensure every child gets personal attention and remains safe. Just let us know your numbers, and we will create a tailored plan that works for you.
