Do I need to have any artistic talent or previous experience?

Absolutely not! Our Viljandi 3D street art workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional artists will guide you through every stage, from holding the spray can correctly to understanding the perspective lines that make an image pop. We provide all the 'cheat codes' and techniques you need to create something you’ll be proud of, regardless of your previous art experience. It's all about having fun and trying something new! 🎨

Is the workshop safe and what protective gear is provided?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and overall suits to keep your clothes clean. The spray paints we use are professional-grade but safe when used with the provided gear. Our instructors give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring everyone knows how to handle the equipment properly while creating their 3D masterpiece in a secure environment. 💪

How long does a 3D street art workshop usually last?

For our 3D street art sessions in Viljandi, we typically recommend a duration of 2 to 3 hours. Creating the illusion of depth takes a little more planning and layering than standard graffiti. This timeframe allows us to cover the theory of anamorphic art, practice basic can control, and complete a full-scale 3D piece without feeling rushed. It’s the perfect length for a deep-dive creative escape! ⏱️

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We are very flexible with group sizes! Whether you are a small family group of 5 or a large corporate team of 50+, we can accommodate you. For very large groups in Viljandi, we bring in additional backup artists to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention and guidance. If you have a specific group size in mind, just let us know and we’ll tailor the setup for you. 🤝

What should I wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on—just in case! While we provide full protective suits, it’s always better to be safe. If the workshop is outdoors, check the Viljandi weather forecast and dress in layers. Other than that, just bring your enthusiasm and your camera to capture those mind-bending 3D angles! 👟

Do I need to pay in advance to book a session?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no cure, no pay' philosophy for bookings. You don't need to make an upfront payment to secure your date in Viljandi. You only pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. We believe in the quality of our workshops and want you to feel completely confident when booking with us. 💳

Can you hold the workshop at our own location?

Yes, we can! While we have several preferred legal graffiti locations around Viljandi, we are mobile. If you have a private space, a school yard, or a company car park with the necessary permissions, our artists can bring the entire 3D workshop setup to you. We just need a flat surface (wall or floor) to work our 3D magic. Get in touch to discuss location possibilities! 📍

The experience

Why choose a 3D street art experience with us in Viljandi? Because we don't just teach you how to paint—we teach you how to change reality! It's the ultimate blend of logic, art, and pure adrenaline. Here’s why it’s a must-do:

Mind-bending results: Create photos that will blow up your social media feed—images that look 3D but are totally flat! 📸
Expert Mentorship: Our professional artists are among the best in the Baltics, bringing years of international experience to your session.
Perfect for everyone: You don't need to be Picasso. Our 'grid method' makes 3D art accessible to anyone who can hold a can. 🚀
Unique Team Building: Forget boring meetings! Nothing brings a team together like collaborating on a giant optical illusion.
No Risk Booking: With our 'pay-after' policy and backup artist guarantee, your event is in safe hands.
All-inclusive Fun: We provide everything. Just bring your creativity and we’ll handle the mess and the magic. 🎉

Step by step

The 3D briefing: We start with an intro into the world of anamorphic art. You'll learn how perspective can trick the human eye into seeing depth on a flat surface.
Design and concept: Under the guidance of our pros, you'll sketch out a design that uses 'forced perspective'. We'll help you pick colours that make the 3D effect pop.
Mastering the can: Before hitting the main piece, you'll practice basic spray techniques—lines, fades, and dots—to get a feel for the pressure and flow.
Setting the foundations: We'll help you map out the 'optical' grid on the wall or floor. This is the secret skeleton that makes the 3D illusion work!
Layering and shadows: The magic of 3D street art is in the shadows. You'll learn how to apply dark and light tones to create realistic volume and 'drop' effects.
Adding the details: Once the main shapes are in, we focus on highlights and crisp outlines to make the artwork look like it's jumping right off the surface.
The 'Photo Point' check: Every 3D piece has a 'sweet spot'. We’ll constantly check the artwork from this specific angle to ensure the illusion is perfect.
Final reveal and photoshoot: Once finished, you'll step into the art! We’ll help you take those incredible photos where it looks like you're standing on a floating object or jumping over a 3D hole.

Local culture

Viljandi is famous for its creative soul, from the internationally renowned Culture Academy to the legendary folk music festival. But the city's artistic vibe isn't just in the music—it's in the streets! By bringing 3D street art to Viljandi, we're adding a modern, urban edge to this historic Estonian town. Imagine creating an optical illusion that contrasts with the beautiful ruins of the Viljandi Order Castle or the scenic views of Lake Viljandi. Our workshops embrace the "Viljandi Spirit"—experimental, professional, and deeply creative. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Viljandi is home to several giant concrete strawberries scattered around the town? They are part of the local art scene—the perfect inspiration for your own 3D creations! 🍓

Whether you're visiting from Tallinn or Tartu, or you're a local looking to spice up the weekend, 3D street art offers a fresh way to interact with Viljandi's unique landscape. We often draw inspiration from local folklore and nature, turning traditional Estonian motifs into futuristic 3D illusions.
