Do students need any prior drawing experience?

Absolutely! No prior art experience is needed for our Lucknow after-school sessions. Our professional graffiti artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on building confidence and having fun, ensuring every student walks away with a masterpiece they are proud of and a new sense of creative accomplishment.

Is the spray paint safe for children and teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. The spray paints we use are selected for their safety standards, and our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before any cans are shaken. We ensure a supervised, controlled environment where kids can explore their creativity without any risk.

How long does a typical after-school session last?

A standard after-school graffiti workshop in Lucknow typically lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This timeframe is perfect for keeping energy levels high while allowing enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the completion of a final group or individual project. We can also adjust the timing to fit specific school schedules or club timings.

What materials do we need to provide?

We provide everything! From a wide spectrum of spray-can colours and professional caps to protective clothing, masks, and the "canvas" (which could be boards, walls, or paper). You don't need to bring a thing—just your enthusiasm and some old clothes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on (just in case!).

Where in Lucknow do these workshops take place?

While we can certainly come to your school or community centre, Graffitifun also has access to various creative spots and legal walls across Lucknow. We can discuss the best location based on your group size and weather conditions. If we work at your school, we ensure total protection of the surrounding area using professional drop cloths and masking techniques.

What is the minimum age for participants?

For our after-school programs, we generally recommend a minimum age of 8 years. This ensures that the students have the physical coordination required to handle the spray cans effectively and can follow the safety instructions. We offer different teaching styles adapted for primary school kids, teenagers, and even college students to keep everyone engaged.

How do we book and what are the payment terms?

Booking is quite simple and flexible! You can use our online Cost Calculator to get an instant estimate, or simply send us a message with your preferred dates and group size. The best part? We don't require any upfront payment. You only pay after the workshop is successfully completed, ensuring 100% satisfaction with your Lucknow street art experience.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your after-school program? It’s more than just painting on walls—it’s a massive boost for a young person's development! Here’s why Lucknow parents and teachers love us: 🎉

Boosts Confidence: Seeing a giant piece of art you created from scratch is an incredible self-esteem booster for kids.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Our group murals teach students how to collaborate and communicate to achieve a shared vision. 🤝
Safe Rebellion: Graffiti offers a "cool" outlet for energy that is guided, legal, and focused on positive expression.
Professional Mentors: Students learn directly from active street artists who share real-world tips and tricks. 🎤
Offline Engagement: It's the ultimate digital detox—completely hands-on, tactile, and sensory-focused fun.
No Stress Booking: With our "pay after" policy and backup artists, we take all the logistical stress off your plate!

Step by step

The safety huddle: We start by gearing up in our pro masks, gloves, and overalls while learning the golden rules of spray can safety.
Shaking and spraying: Students learn the "anatomy" of a spray can, from the mixing ball rattle to different nozzle types (caps).
Line masters: We practice basic techniques like creating thin lines, thick fades, and "dots" to get a feel for the pressure.
Sketching the vision: Every student gets to brainstorm their tag or piece on paper before moving to the big canvas.
Fill-in fun: Time to go big! We guide the kids through the process of filling in their shapes with vibrant, popping colours.
The outline: This is where the magic happens—adding that sharp "cut" or outline to make the letters jump off the wall.
Details and 3D: We teach how to add shadows, highlights, and cool "bubbles" to give the artwork depth and character.
The big reveal: We step back, admire the collective masterpiece, and take plenty of photos for the gram!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Lucknow has always been a city of incredible art, from the intricate carvings of the Bara Imambara to the delicate threadwork of Chikan embroidery. But there's a new wave of creativity hitting the streets! From the trendy cafes of Gomti Nagar to the vibrant walls near Hazratganj, street art is beginning to tell the modern story of Lucknow. Our workshops bridge the gap between "Tehzeeb" (culture) and modern urban expression, giving Lucknowi youth a chance to add their voice to the city's evolving aesthetic. 🏛️ 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know Lucknow is known as the 'Golden City of the East'? We love using gold and vibrant yellow shades in our workshops to pay homage to the city's royal heritage!
