Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No prior art experience is needed for our youth projects. Our professional artists are mentors who specialise in breaking down complex techniques into simple, fun steps. We start with basic 'tagging' and move up to 'pieces'. By the end of the session, even those who thought they couldn't draw a straight line will be amazed at the masterpiece they've helped create on the streets of Lucknow.

Is the workshop safe for teenagers?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. We use low-pressure spray cans that are easier for younger hands to control. Additionally, our artists are trained to supervise youth groups, ensuring that the creative process remains organised, respectful, and completely safe from start to finish. We make sure everyone follows the 'spray safe' rules!

How long does a typical session last?

A standard youth project workshop in Lucknow usually lasts between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a safety demo, practice sessions on scrap boards, and finally, the execution of the main mural. We find this timeframe is perfect for keeping energy levels high and engagement focused without the participants getting tired.

Where in Lucknow do these workshops take place?

We are flexible! We can host the workshop at a dedicated outdoor mural space in Lucknow, or we can bring the mobile graffiti wall to your community centre, school, or youth club. As long as we have a well-ventilated area (preferably outdoors) and permission to paint, we can make the magic happen anywhere in the city. We handle all the prep and cleanup!

What is the ideal group size for a youth project?

For youth projects, we recommend a minimum of 10 participants to get that 'crew' feeling, but we can accommodate groups of up to 100+ by bringing in extra artists and equipment. Large groups are split into smaller teams, each working on a specific section of a giant collaborative mural. This setup encourages teamwork and ensures everyone gets plenty of time with the spray cans.

How does the 'No Upfront Payment' policy work?

We love the 'Pay After' policy because it shows we trust the quality of our work. You don't need to pay anything upfront to book your date. Once the workshop is completed and you see the smiling faces and incredible art, you can settle the payment via bank transfer or local payment methods. It’s all about building trust within the Lucknow community.

What should the participants wear?

While we provide overalls, we always recommend that participants wear 'work clothes'—items they don't mind getting a little paint on. Graffiti can be messy, and while our gear is great, a stray drip of paint on a favourite pair of sneakers is always a possibility! Comfortable closed-toe shoes are also a must for safety while moving around the painting area.

Local culture

Lucknow has always been a hub of culture and 'Tehzeeb' (etiquette), but there's a new, modern rhythm pulsing through the city's streets. From the beautiful heritage of the Residency to the sprawling parks, Lucknow is now embracing the bold strokes of the urban art movement. Our workshops blend this traditional creative spirit with the edgy, modern world of graffiti.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Lucknow is becoming a hotspot for 'Clean Graffiti' and street murals that celebrate local Lucknowi embroidery like Chikankari? We love incorporating these local patterns into our youth projects to keep the city's heritage alive through a modern lens! 🎨
