Is the graffiti workshop safe for children attending a communion party?

Absolutely! Our Sheffield workshops are designed specifically for beginners and young children. Each session starts with a thorough safety briefing and a tutorial on how to handle the spray cans. Our professional artists stay by their side the entire time, offering tips and help. We use high-quality, low-pressure cans that are easy for smaller hands to control, ensuring everyone feels like a pro by the end.

How far in advance should I book the workshop in Sheffield?

We recommend booking your Sheffield communion celebration at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance, especially during the busy spring months. However, we have a large team of backup artists in South Yorkshire, so we can often accommodate last-minute requests if you have a sudden change of plans. Just get in touch and we will do our best to make the magic happen for your special day!

What happens if it rains on the day of the party?

Don't worry about the British weather! We have various indoor locations across Sheffield that are well-ventilated and perfect for spray painting. If you have booked an outdoor venue and the forecast looks grey, we can usually pivot to a sheltered area or provide gazebos. Our 'no-cancellation' policy means we have backup plans ready so your communion party goes ahead rain or shine.

Do we need to provide any materials or protective gear ourselves?

We provide everything! Your booking includes premium spray paint in a rainbow of colours, protective overalls, gloves, and specialized masks. We also provide the 'canvas'—whether that is a large communal mural wall or individual boards for the kids to take home. You just need to bring your energy and perhaps wear some old shoes just in case a little paint wanders!

How long does the graffiti session usually last?

A standard communion party workshop in Sheffield typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives the children enough time to learn the basic strokes, practice their 'tag', and complete a final masterpiece without losing their focus. We can adjust the timing to fit perfectly between your communion lunch and the evening festivities if you have a tight schedule.

Can the kids take their artwork home after the party?

Yes! One of the best parts of our Sheffield workshops is that the kids get to take their creations home. If we are working on individual canvases or boards, they make for the ultimate 'party bag' gift. They are a permanent, colorful reminder of the communion day. If we do a large group mural, the guest of honour usually gets to keep the main piece!

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us with your date and group size in Sheffield. We’ll chat about your vision for the communion celebration.
Design the theme: We help you choose a theme—perhaps the child’s name in a 'Wildstyle' font or a hobby they love like football or music.
Artist arrival: Our pro artist arrives at your Sheffield venue 30 minutes early to set up the 'graffiti zone' with drop cloths and boards.
Safety first: We suit everyone up in protective gear and explain the golden rules of using spray cans safely and respectfully.
The practice run: Before hitting the main boards, the kids practice basic lines, circles, and 'fills' on a practice surface.
Creating the masterpiece: Under our artist's guidance, the kids work together (or individually) to bring the colorful communion design to life.
Final touches: Our artist helps with the tricky outlines and 'shine' effects to make the artwork really pop like professional street art.
Photo op: We strike a pose with the finished mural for those essential family photos before the paint dries!
Clean up & take home: We pack up everything, leaving the venue spotless, while you get to keep the incredible art created during the day.

Local culture

Sheffield is a city that breathes creativity, from the iconic murals in the Antiques Quarter to the legal walls at Milton Street. By choosing a graffiti workshop here, you are tapping into the Steel City's vibrant 'Do It Yourself' spirit. We love bringing our workshops to local Sheffield neighbourhoods like Ecclesall, Hillsborough, and Dore, ensuring that no matter where your venue is, the street art vibe follows. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Sheffield is home to Phlegm, one of the world's most famous street artists? His intricate, surreal characters can be spotted on buildings all over the city, proof that Sheffield truly is a world-class canvas!

Pricing
