Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely not! Our Obuasi company outing is designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a straight line to the office doodlers. Our professional artists guide you through every step, starting with basic lines and moving to shading and character work. You'll be amazed at the masterpiece your team creates together by the end of the session. It's all about the experience and the laughs along the way!

Is the spray paint safe and what gear do you provide?

We take safety seriously in the Gold City! We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep everyone safe and their office clothes clean. We also use low-odour professional spray paint whenever possible and ensure our chosen Obuasi locations have excellent ventilation. Our instructors provide a full safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a worry-free environment for your entire team to get creative.

How long does a typical company outing workshop last?

Standard workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives your team plenty of time to learn the basics, sketch out ideas, and complete a final collaborative piece. If you have a specific schedule to stick to in Obuasi, just let us know! We can easily adjust the pace or add extra breakout sessions to fit perfectly into your company's away-day itinerary.

What is the minimum or maximum group size for a workshop?

We are incredibly flexible. We can host small, intimate teams or huge corporate groups of over 100 people. For larger groups in Obuasi, we usually bring in extra professional artists and set up multiple 'graffiti stations' to ensure everyone gets hands-on time and personal guidance. No matter the size of your workforce, we’ll make sure the energy stays high and everyone feels included.

Is there an upfront payment required for the booking?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no cure, no pay' approach. You don't need to pay anything upfront when booking your Obuasi outing. We believe in our service so much that you only pay after the workshop is complete and your team is buzzing with excitement. This makes the booking process completely stress-free for your HR or planning department.

Where do the workshops take place in Obuasi?

We have several great outdoor and indoor-friendly spots around Obuasi, but we are also happy to come to you! If your office has a suitable outdoor area or a very well-ventilated warehouse space, we can bring the entire graffiti studio to your doorstep. If not, we'll arrange a cool local spot that captures the vibrant spirit of Ashanti street culture for your team to enjoy.

What should the team bring along on the day?

We definitely recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on (though our overalls are great!). Since Obuasi can be quite warm, light clothing is best. We provide everything else: the paint, the boards or canvases, the protective gear, and the inspiration. Just bring your team and a sense of adventure—we'll handle the rest of the logistics!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Obuasi is known globally as the 'Gold City', but there's a different kind of treasure being found in its rising urban culture. While the city's heritage is deeply rooted in its legendary mining history, the modern spirit of Obuasi is all about grit, heart, and bold expression. Bringing a graffiti workshop here feels right at home—it's about taking raw materials and turning them into something brilliant and valuable.

Fun fact: Did you know that the name 'Obuasi' translates to 'under the rock'? It’s the perfect metaphor for our workshops—we help your team dig deep under the surface to find the hidden 'gold' of their own creativity!

From the bustling central markets to the quieter residential lanes, the Ashanti region's love for vibrant colours and storytelling is a natural fit for the expressive nature of street art. We love channelling that local energy into every workshop we host in the region. ✨
