How is a graffiti networking event different from a normal business meet-up?

Standard networking can be stiff, but adding graffiti into the mix breaks the ice instantly! Our Obuasi networking events focus on 'collaborative creation.' Instead of just exchanging business cards, you’ll be sharing spray cans and brainstorming a mural together. This shared physical activity lowers social barriers, encourages genuine laughter, and builds more authentic professional connections than a traditional boardroom mixer ever could. It’s about building bridges through art.

Do I need to have any artistic skills to participate?

Absolutely not! Most of our participants haven't touched a spray can since childhood—if ever. Our professional artists are there to guide you through every step, from basic nozzle control to complex shading techniques. We provide stencils and outlines so everyone can contribute something beautiful to the final piece. The goal is connection and creativity, not artistic perfection, so just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll handle the rest!

What materials are provided during the session in Obuasi?

We’ve got you covered from head to toe. Graffitifun provides high-quality spray paint, protective overalls, gloves, and respiratory masks to ensure everyone stays clean and safe. We also provide the canvases or temporary walls and all the professional lighting needed. The only thing you need to bring is your curiosity and perhaps a stack of business cards for the connections you’ll be making during the breaks.

Where in Obuasi do these networking events usually take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the event at various outdoor or well-ventilated indoor locations around Obuasi. If you have a specific venue in mind—like a hotel terrace or a corporate courtyard—we can bring the mobile workshop to you. If not, we can recommend several 'street-art friendly' spots in the city that provide the perfect grit and vibe for a creative networking session.

How long does a creative networking session typically last?

A typical creative networking session lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for an initial icebreaker, a crash course in graffiti techniques, the actual collaborative painting phase, and a final 'reveal' and networking wrap-up. We find this timing is the 'sweet spot' for keeping energy high while still allowing for meaningful professional conversations to develop naturally during the creative process.

Is the spray painting activity safe for a professional setting?

Safety is our top priority. We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and provide all necessary PPE, including masks and gloves. Our instructors are highly experienced and will give a full safety briefing before anyone picks up a can. We ensure the workspace is well-ventilated and that all participants are comfortable with the environment. It’s a fun, controlled, and professional set-up from start to finish.

How much does it cost to book a networking event in Obuasi?

Because every networking event is unique—varying in group size, duration, and specific location requirements—we provide custom quotes for each booking. Whether you’re a small local business collective or a larger corporate group from the mining sector, we’ll tailor a package that fits your needs. The best part? There’s no upfront payment required; you only pay after the event is successfully completed!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti-themed event for your next professional gathering? Traditional networking often feels like a chore, but street art turns it into an adventure. Here’s why it works:

Instant icebreaker: Nothing kills the awkward silence faster than a spray can and a blank wall! 🔥
Equalise the room: Whether you're a CEO or an intern, everyone starts at the same level with a spray can in hand.
Boosted creativity: Tapping into your creative side opens up new ways of thinking and problem-solving for your business.
Memorable impact: People will be talking about your "spray paint mixer" for months, making your brand or organisation stand out.
Tangible results: You’ll have a stunning piece of collective art (and photos!) to showcase your network’s collaboration. 🏆
Stress relief: Let’s be honest—it’s incredibly satisfying to spray paint a wall after a long week at the office!

Step by step

Enquire & personalise: Reach out to us with your group size and date. We’ll discuss how to weave your professional goals into the street art experience.
Venue selection: We’ll pick a vibrant spot in Obuasi or come to your chosen location with our mobile graffiti set-up.
The icebreaker: We start with a high-energy intro and a quick 'tagging' demo to get everyone comfortable and laughing.
Skill workshop: Our pro artists teach the basics—lines, fades, and fills—giving you the tools to express yourself on the wall.
Collaborative concept: The group brainstorms a theme or a shared vision that represents your industry or networking goals.
The paint phase: This is where the real networking happens! Participants collaborate on a large-scale mural, swapping cans and ideas.
Refinement: Our artists help add the finishing touches, making sure the final piece looks like a professional masterpiece.
The reveal & mingle: We step back to admire the work, take group photos, and transition into a relaxed networking session.
Sustainable cleanup: We handle all the gear and cleaning, leaving you with nothing but great memories and new contacts.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Obuasi, famous for its deep roots in the gold mining industry, is a city built on hard work and collaboration. By bringing a graffiti networking event to Obuasi, we are tapping into that same spirit of building something great from the ground up. Street art in Ghana is currently undergoing a massive evolution, with cities like Accra leading the way, and we are thrilled to bring that urban energy to the Ashanti Region.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the name 'Obuasi' translates roughly to 'under the rock'? It’s the perfect metaphor for our workshops—we’re here to help you dig deep and find the hidden creative gems within your professional network! ✨

We love the contrast of the industrial backdrop of Obuasi with the bright, neon pops of spray paint. It creates a unique atmosphere that you just won't find in a standard hotel conference room.
