How long does a live painting session usually last?

Our live painting performances in Obuasi are incredibly flexible! Depending on the scale of your event and the detail of the artwork, sessions usually last between 2 and 5 hours. We can work in short, high-energy bursts or provide a steady creative presence throughout an entire evening. We’ll coordinate with your event schedule to ensure the 'big reveal' happens exactly when you want it to, maximizing the impact for your guests.

What equipment do you provide for the performance?

We come fully prepared! Our team brings high-quality spray paints, markers, protective floor coverings, and the canvas or wall surface itself. All we usually need from you is a designated space and a bit of lighting if your event is taking place after sunset. We handle the entire setup and teardown process, so you can focus entirely on hosting your guests and enjoying the golden city vibes of Obuasi.

Is there a risk of paint getting on the venue or guests?

Not at all! Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities. we use low-odour, professional-grade paints and high-quality drop cloths to protect your venue's flooring and furniture. If your event is indoors, we ensure proper ventilation is discussed beforehand. We’ve performed in high-end venues and outdoor plazas alike, always leaving the space exactly as we found it—except for the stunning new piece of art we’ve created!

Can you customise the artwork to match our event theme?

Absolutely! That is the beauty of live art. We can incorporate your company logo, a specific event theme, or even the colours of your favorite local football team. Before the event, we’ll chat about your vision and create a concept that aligns perfectly with your brand or celebration. Whether it’s a modern abstract piece or a detailed mural of Obuasi’s mining heritage, we make it personal and unique.

Do guests get to participate in the painting?

Yes, we do! While the artist does most of the heavy lifting, we love getting the crowd involved if the setting allows. We can set up a 'guest participation' area where people can add a small stroke or a tag under the artist’s guidance. It’s a fantastic way to make your guests feel like they are part of the creative process, making your Obuasi event even more memorable for everyone involved.

How far in advance should I book for an event in Obuasi?

While we recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance to ensure your preferred artist is available, we know that last-minute events happen! Thanks to our backup artist system, we can often accommodate shorter notices. If you have an event coming up soon in Obuasi or the Ashanti Region, give us a shout and we’ll do our absolute best to make the magic happen for you.

What happens to the artwork after the event is over?

The finished masterpiece is yours to keep! Many of our clients choose to display the canvas in their office lobby, auction it off for charity, or give it away as a grand prize during the event. It serves as a lasting memento of a fantastic night. If you’ve commissioned a semi-permanent mural, it stays on-site as a vibrant addition to your property's décor, continuing to inspire long after the party ends.

The experience

Why choose live painting for your next big day? It’s more than just art; it’s an interactive journey that keeps people talking long after the paint has dried. Here is why it’s a game-changer in Obuasi:

Total Engagement: People can't look away! It’s a hypnotic process that draws guests in and sparks conversation. 🔥
Unique Photo Ops: In the age of social media, a evolving mural is the perfect backdrop for selfies and viral videos. 📸
Custom Brand Power: We can weave your brand’s colours, values, and logos into the art in a way that feels organic and cool. 🎤
Memorable Souvenir: You get a physical piece of art to hang in your office or give away as a high-value prize. 🏆
Zero Stress for You: We handle the setup, the performance, and the cleanup. You just enjoy the show!
Reliability Guaranteed: With our backup artist policy, your event will never be left without a performer. 💪

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out and tell us about your Obuasi event. We’ll discuss the vibe, the venue, and what kind of message you want the art to convey.
Concept design: Our artists sketch out a rough concept or mood board. This ensures we are on the same page regarding style, colours, and any logos you want included.
Logistics check: We coordinate with your venue manager to check space requirements and ventilation, ensuring a smooth setup on the day.
Artist arrival: On the day of your event, we arrive early to set up our 'creative zone' with drop cloths, canvases, and our full kit of paints.
The performance begins: As your guests arrive, our artist starts the first layers. The sight and sound of the spray cans immediately create a buzz.
Interactive engagement: Throughout the event, the artist interacts with onlookers, explaining the techniques and watching the artwork evolve.
The grand reveal: Towards the end of the event, the final highlights are added, and the completed masterpiece is unveiled to the crowd.
Cleanup & handover: We pack up our gear silently and efficiently. The artwork is then yours to display, auction, or keep as a memory of a brilliant day!

Local culture

Obuasi is a city defined by its grit, its gold, and its incredible community spirit. While it has long been known as a global mining hub, the local creative scene is rapidly growing. Street art here isn't just about decoration; it’s about storytelling and celebrating the heritage of the Ashanti people. When we perform live painting in Obuasi, we draw inspiration from the vibrant kente patterns, the industrial strength of the local landscape, and the warm hospitality of the residents. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Obuasi is home to one of the world's largest gold mines? Just like deep-earth mining, our artists start with raw materials and work through layers to reveal something precious and beautiful!

Whether you're planning an event near the Len Clay Stadium or a more intimate gathering, our live art creates a bridge between traditional culture and modern urban expression. We love bringing that "Accra energy" to the heart of the mining district!
