How long does a pop-up graffiti workshop usually last?

A typical pop-up graffiti workshop in Kuopio lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe allows our instructors to cover the essential safety rules, demonstrate various spraying techniques, and give everyone enough time to complete their own masterpiece. We can adjust the duration based on your event's specific schedule, ensuring the flow of your pop-up remains energetic and engaging for all your guests from start to finish.

Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our professional street artists guide you through every step, from how to hold the spray can to creating complex shapes. We provide a safe, supportive environment where anyone can feel like a pro. Whether you are in Kuopio for a quick visit or a local resident, you'll find the process intuitive, rewarding, and most importantly, incredibly fun.

What should we wear to the event?

We suggest wearing clothes you don't mind getting a bit of paint on, though we do provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and masks. While our spray paint is professional grade, it can be stubborn on designer fabrics! Comfortable shoes are also a must, as you'll be moving around your canvas or wall quite a bit while you create your street art in the heart of Kuopio.

Is the spray paint safe for everyone to use?

Safety is our top priority at Graffitifun. we provide high-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, along with gloves and protective suits. Our artists are trained to manage groups safely and ensure that the spray area is well-ventilated. We use professional equipment that meets all safety standards, making it a worry-free experience for organisers and participants alike at any Kuopio venue.

Where in Kuopio can these pop-up events be held?

We are exceptionally flexible! We can set up our pop-up workshops at various locations across Kuopio, from public squares and car parks to private indoor event spaces with proper ventilation. If you have a specific venue in mind, just let us know. If not, we can recommend great spots in the city that provide the perfect urban backdrop for a morning or afternoon of creative street art.

What is your payment and cancellation policy?

We believe in a 'fun-first' approach, so we don't require any upfront payments. You can settle the bill after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This takes the stress out of planning your Kuopio event. If your plans change, we also have backup artists available to ensure your event goes ahead no matter what. Your creative satisfaction is our ultimate goal!

Are these workshops suitable for children?

Yes, our pop-up events are fantastic for children's parties, school groups, and family festivals! We adjust our teaching style and safety protocols to suit younger artists. It’s a brilliant way for kids in Kuopio to express themselves and learn about urban culture in a controlled, creative environment. We usually recommend a minimum age of 6-8 years old to ensure they can handle the spray cans comfortably.

Local culture

Kuopio might be famous for the Puijo Tower and its stunning lake views, but underneath that serene Finnish exterior lies a growing appreciation for urban culture. By bringing a graffiti pop-up event to this Savo stronghold, you're tapping into a modern, creative vibe that perfectly complements the city's lively market square (Kauppatori) atmosphere. We love setting up near the bustling docks or in the creative pockets of the city centre where the local 'Sisu' spirit can really shine through in spray paint. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Kuopio is known as the 'Pearl of Savo'? While tradition is big here, the city's younger generation is hungry for street art, making it the perfect place for a pop-up creative revolution!
