Do I need to be good at drawing to join the workshop?

Absolutely not! Our Kuopio school holiday workshops are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to budding Picassos. Our professional artists break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to more complex techniques like 3D effects and highlights. You'll be amazed at how quickly you pick up the skills and create something you're truly proud of.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for children and teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and professional-grade respiratory masks to ensure nobody breathes in fumes or gets paint on their favourite clothes. Our instructors are experienced in managing groups and ensure that all equipment is used correctly. We choose well-ventilated outdoor spots or suitable indoor spaces in Kuopio to keep the environment safe and enjoyable for all participants.

What should we wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable, older clothes and sturdy trainers just in case—even though we provide full protective gear, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto shoes! Since Kuopio weather can be unpredictable, especially during the autumn or spring breaks, please dress according to the temperature. If we are working outdoors near Lake Kallavesi, an extra layer is always a smart idea to stay warm.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard school holiday session in Kuopio typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a thorough introduction, some practice runs on the 'practice wall', and the final creation of your masterpiece. We find this is the perfect duration to keep the energy high and the creativity flowing without anyone getting tired. We can also customise the length for specific youth group requirements.

Are all materials included in the price?

We provide everything you need to become a street artist for the day! This includes a wide variety of premium spray cans in every colour of the rainbow, nozzles (caps) for different line widths, protective gear, and the surfaces we’ll be painting on. For school holiday groups, we often use large canvases or temporary boards so everyone can see their progress. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and creativity!

How much does the school holiday workshop cost?

The price per person typically ranges from €30 to €65. The final cost depends on the number of participants, the duration of the session, and the specific location within Kuopio. We offer competitive rates for larger youth groups and holiday programmes. The best part? There is no upfront payment required—you pay after the workshop is complete. Reach out for a custom quote to get the exact price for your group.

What happens if it rains on the day of our workshop?

Kuopio is known for its beautiful summers, but we have plans for when the Finnish weather doesn't cooperate. If rain is forecast, we often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or a suitable indoor venue. We have several backup locations across the city to ensure your holiday plans don't get washed away. We also have backup artists available, so your session will never be cancelled due to staff illness.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Kuopio might be famous for its 'Kalakukko' and the stunning views from the Puijo Tower, but there is a vibrant creative pulse running through the city that goes far beyond tradition. The local street art scene has been growing, with colourful murals popping up that contrast beautifully with the surrounding blue waters of Lake Kallavesi. Our workshops tap into this modern Savo spirit, encouraging the local youth to add their own contemporary voice to the city's cultural landscape.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Kuopio is often called the "Promised Land of Festivals"? While the city celebrates dance and wine, we believe there's always room for more spray paint! In the winter, the crisp air makes the paint dry in unique ways, and in the summer, the midnight sun gives us even more hours of daylight to perfect those sketches. We love bringing this urban art form to such a scenic Finnish gem. 🌲✨

Pricing

Our workshop prices are as flexible as our art style! Depending on your group size and the specific setup you're after, prices range from:

€30 – €65 per person

We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden surprises. Whether you're a small group of friends or a large youth organisation in Kuopio, we have a package that fits your budget. Remember, you don't pay a cent until the workshop is over and everyone is wearing a huge smile!
