  • Safe & Professional: We handle the messy bits and provide all the safety gear, so teachers don't have to stress. 🛡️
  • Pure Creative Freedom: There are no 'mistakes' in graffiti, only 'happy accidents' and unique styles!
  • Local PE Legends: Our artists are locals who know how to inspire the next generation of Gqeberha creatives. 🇿🇦

Step by step

  1. Introduction & Safety: Our professional artists meet the group and explain the safety rules and how to use the equipment responsibly.
  2. Sketching the Vision: Learners start by brainstorming their designs on paper, learning about 'lettering' and 'character' basics.
  3. The First Spray: Under close supervision, children learn the 'finger-feel' of the nozzle and how to control paint flow on a practice surface.
  4. Outline Techniques: We teach the kids how to create bold outlines and '3D' effects to make their names or drawings pop.
  5. Colour Filling: The fun part! Students choose from a range of vibrant colours to fill in their designs and learn about shading.
  6. Adding Details: Using different 'caps' (nozzles), the learners add highlights, shines, and final 'drips' to give their art that authentic street style.
  7. The Big Reveal: Once the paint is dry, the group comes together for a 'gallery walk' to admire each other's creative masterpieces.
  8. Clean-up & Wrap-up: We ensure the area is spotless and hand out individual artworks (if done on canvas) for the kids to take home Proudly!

From the iconic murals along Route 67 to the hidden gems in the Baakens Valley, street art is woven into the city's cultural tapestry. By bringing a graffiti workshop to your primary school, you're connecting your students with this modern local heritage.

Fun Fact: Did you know that some of the largest public art pieces in South Africa are found right here in the Nelson Mandela Bay area? Our workshops teach kids to respect public spaces while embracing the same spirit of public storytelling found in our city's famous monuments! 🇿🇦
